Getting back on topic, just listened to Neeld's summary of the Gold Coast game (some doomsdayers here should do the same) and I would think next weeks game at Casey will be a good one for all those passionate supporters to get down to. Looks like Dawes, Clarke, Trengove, Blease, Viney etc will all be playing. Obviously interest will be centred on Mitch and also how he and Dawes gel together.

NAB CHALLENGE: GOLD COAST SUNS v MELBOURNE
Longsufferingnomore replied to Gorgoroth's topic in Melbourne Demons
Agree from what I saw at the rear end of Casey year he really started to show potential. -
Yes but in a courtroom we would also be open to questioning which we may not have wanted. McLardy knows what is going on. He is tougher than a lot here would know. This has to be handled I now believe, in house. One of the reasons it was easy to crucify us was that we did leak like a sieve. We hear nothing of Essendon or Geelong or the Suns. We now have to close ranks. Those outside of the Club now will soon be seen as they are - former malcontent employees. For the Club to answer a one liner from CW will only I think assist in festering a non-issue.

Apologise WYL but just linked your thoughts back to CW article. Did she mention Suns in the same context as they seem to have had more to do with Dank than we did. I do believe that whoever it was supplying her with info has gone to ground but at the same time the Club is now aware of the possibility of a rat amongst its ranks. We will never know who it is. They will quietly leave but unfortunately whoever it is will not give up without a change in certain personnel at the Club. That is the danger that we face in the future.

From the HS today J Watts was unleashed from half-back with 25 disposals and D. Terlich also played well. No mention anywhere about Byrnes who has kicked goals each game. Where was Nat Jones. I think I will wait and watch the replay before slashing wrists etc -

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
Longsufferingnomore replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
An independent review by an Essendon supporter. Be like Mike Fitzpatrick looking into Carltank. Does this "review" get sent to AFL HQ. How much of the "review" will be seen by the outside world or will it be kept locked up and for Essendon hierarchy eyes only. What good is that. As I have said there is a smell emanating from AFL HQ - a very strong smell of bleach. -

No we dont have most of our backline or our forward line - that is not our best available. However given that from the limited information coming through it does not sound good. -

Start time is 12.50pm -
Carrrlton's stated drive to force the AFL into giving them additional games at the MCG concerns me. Does this mean that we despite being the original team whose home was/is the MCG will be forced to play more games at Etihad. This would jeopardise our membership numbers even more given that so many of the MCG members support MFC. Will we get shafted again by the AFL?

On Tuesday we were only a couple of hundred behind what we were this time last year. So given the shite that we have gone through the last 8 months it is probably not a bad total.

Heard from the Club that MFC memberships will get you into this game. I would however check with the Club first. (Don't know why when they wouldnt allow entry at Casey- a major stuff up by the AFL) -
Training - Wednesday 13th March, 2013
Longsufferingnomore replied to The Great Pretender's topic in Melbourne Demons
Dunney is a fine example of a player who was on the edge of being delisted and made the effort to buy into Neeld's plans. I would not have been surprised if he had been given his marching orders at the end of 2011 but obviously Neeld saw something in him apart from his excellent kicking skills and he has been proven right with Dunney's great NAB performances. I am really pleased for him because it shows the younger brigade what rewards hard work brings. -
I thought Davey actually went in a lot harder than I have seen for a couple of years. There was no shirking confrontation with opposition players or going in for the ball. His kicking skills are still sublime - kick to hogan on interchange wing. Tappy - loved him encouraging (whilst walking around interchange)his team mate to "get him" as he chased down the opposition. Loved Rhodans encouraging words to the younger boys as they walked around the interchange. Great team man. I thought it was Nicholson. I also thought someone should have come in to help and I think Garland did at the end but a bit late. I could be wrong because by this stage I was in a state of confusion caused by the suffocating heat. Don't know how the players did it. Toumpas looked absolutely out of it.

BYO

Someone else here said the the crowd would be capped at 10,000 so on that basis I would, to be safe be prepurchasing. Also if you are in the line to purchase a ticket it will be mayhem and hopefully they will have a line also for prepurchased tickets to walk straight in.

Demoniac just remember I have been advised that the first bus from Cranbourne will leave at 12.50 so dont get there too early otherwise it will be a long wait. I suggest also to everyone that they buy their tickets at Ticketmaster as there is only one entrance at Casey and it is going to be mayhem tying to get into the ground. Also BYO chairs.
