Allen Jakovich went alright. Didn't get the plaudits that JB has but all the same kicked a few goals...(50 in his first 9 games...)

My recollection is that they used to hang off every word he said.. He was a superstar with 4 flags. They had never played up close with someone like that before.

My intel says that all is not right at Bomberland. There is a bit of turmoil behind the scenes with a push to get Hirdy back amongst other things (before he takes the GWS job..). Players unhappy about game plan etc

I don't think he was ever stop gap. He was the best kick in his draft according to Jason Taylor. Bailey Laurie was 2nd best Thats the reason they were selected

I can't for the life of me understand why Weid doesn't try something like a glove on one hand? Maybe he has but plenty have used them including Mathew Lloyd and Travis Cloke etc His two grabbing is the biggest problem for mine. His kicking is shot because of confidence most likely but that can turn around reasonably quickly given his reasonable kicking technique 6 years and he has basically played one decent game. Something wrong here.

This happens more often that we realise. I remember Clarkson shifting a defender behind the ball when we were 95 pts down against the Hawks a few years back . We all though the was being mean spirited and wanted to beat us by 100 points but I was told on good authority that he was getting his team to play various roles and match play scenarios. Against GC we were knackered with the heat. SO shutting the game down was a good option.

Take out. the Geelong final and tell us where he has had a meaningful impact. Bowey has had more impact in 9 games.
