POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Geelong
Geelong owned the corridor, they also switched the ball repeatedly and we were unable to handle or even recognise that. Which is bizarre on such a narrow ground - it should be easier to defend. Our kick ins to the same spot just make it ridiculously easy for the oppn to set up We did nothing on the centre bounces. Maybe Kozzie, maybe Bedford. Anything would have been better than the combo we had As for breaking tackles and tacking an eternity to kick the pill - unbelievable how many times we got caught. Bowey out of form for a few weeks now. Hunt would have been a better shut down option on Stengle (whose pace & pressure killed us)

POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Geelong
Have a look at May in the first qtr His kick ins were skewed off his boot. Nowhere near as precise as usual (and yes we are well and truly sick of the kick to the left FFS Goody!) He continually fumbled His timing was out and he was as nervous as a long tail cat in a room full of rocking chairs. Something was wrong

May playing his worst ever game. Defence looking shaky Trying to break tackles Too little talking Stengle playing v well Bedford outmanoeuvred twice Salem missing targets What's with our players getting tackled but disposing of the ball but getting pinged?? Pressure is huge. Cats are primed Only 2 pts down. We can wear them down.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Geelong
Their changes from the Prelim are Henderson, Kaladjazjnee (?) and Ratagalea bringing in De konig, O'Connor and Stengle We're missing TMac and Rivers with JJ and Bedford coming in Last year we smashed them in stoppages, this year they move the ball much more quickly into their fwd line. Will be a very interesting game

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Geelong
I think the midfield is where it will be won. If we allow them to get a 4-5 goal run on out of the middle it will be a struggle. Hopefully we learned frm Rd 23. Th ePrelim suggests that we did but I think the midfield is now their weakest link. No Stewart and no Koladashkneesupmotherbrown is a decent help as well

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Geelong
I see in the little paper Geelong are still banging on about the "virus" that "swept through" the team prior to the Preliminary Final and how they wanted to ask the AFL to postpone the match. 'It's not an excuse mind you Melbourne were very good.' I want to smash this team like never before.

Breakfast with Simon Goodwin in Perth
Doesn't look it. Company page link doesn't work. Picture of Goodwin is v old. Same day is the Freo game in Perth so maybe but surely if there was a breakfast it would be organised by the club to benefit the club and its supporters in Perth not some random FB company.

What They Are Saying at Moorabool Street
The 'reasoning' for this would appear to be the large crowd drawing clubs don't play at Geelong because crowds would miss out. Also in the early part of this century these clubs were quite strong This hands Geelong an enormous advantage because they avoid the big clubs there, they play the 'weaker' clubs here virtually handing them 8 or 9 wins a year. We got belted there for years. So when people laud Geelong for being so 'competitive' year in year out it a crock of bulldust. On the other hand its probably why they fail at the pointy end of the season which isnt a bad thing. Either way though it is appalling that such an imbalance exists .
