  1. DNA ??? Isn't that the National Association of Dyslexics...
  2. I hope that's tongue in cheek. So he missed a shot on goal. So Did Pavlich from 30m out and he's a bona fide Champion.
  3. Interesting that everyone looks at what he hasn't got. He is what he is. Tall, athletic, fast, and with terrific vision and skills by hand and foot. We all want more than that! We want a J Brown/Ox type of player who dominates games. We'll just have to wait and see what happens. personally I see him as more a Pendlebury type player but one that may come to dominate in the fwd line.
  4. Over 20m.. IN fact he's the fastest at the Club.. Watts the Speedster
  5. Watts is the FASTEST player at Melbourne. He might look LACONIC but he can move. According to CC once he learns how to use his speed he will be a force!!! Watts the Flyer
  6. Our options for the second ruck are now pretty varied.. We have used Sylvia and Dunn in the past and I note that Newton has been pushed towards that position in the latter part of last year. I don't like Newton as a player but he has been more effective in a second ruck role than a forward. Add in Martin who is still learning the game, and who can play in defence and is not the write-off that some seem to think then I think we have an incredibly flexible line-up. All this without considering at Gawn, Fitzpatrick, Spencer and Campbell. It seems to be the hallmark of DB that he demands players must be adaptable.
  7. If you read his info Joel Mac is one of his favourite players.
  8. No-one can argue Cam didnt keep up his end of the bargain. IF he was paid well it's because he performed and because there wasn't anyone else there to take $ away from him. Hardly his fault. If you take out the football and imagine yourself in your workplace where management offers you good money because you re a good worker in a company full of average ones then good luck to you.
  9. Brilliant effort Bhima Many thanks..
  10. TJ finished in the Top 10 in our B&F twice repeat twice in 10 years (1st and 3rd). It's a damning statistic for a guy with such natural talent.
  11. The club wanted Hale to play fwd - someone who could play "front and square' (I hate that term!) and that if they didn't get it would ensure it spilt to our crumbers. Seems like Campbell could play that role (as well as back up TMR).
  12. Or shave or indulge in personal grooming....
  13. Hmm played like that too!
  14. Correct me if I am wrong but Rookies can only play if we get injuries?
  15. Remember Viney was a Coach at Hawthorn when Campbell played in a flag. I'd say he had a bit to do with that selection.
  16. And no secret that BP has gone for pace with good kicking skills again....
  17. As I see it Campbell was a bit like Brad Miller in that he was told to be aggressive and copped a lot of needless suspensions. Curbing that aggression weakened his performances. Maybe the club is confident he can play without the "unsociable football" mantra of the Dorks.
  18. Daniel Nicholson Super speedy half-back with precise delivery who dominated the Victorian Amateur competition. Considered to have the goods to step up. 20yo 183cm 76kg Michael Evans Midfielder with good kicking skills whose talent is undoubted. Considered to have a big upside. 18yo 180cm 75kg Kelvin Lawrence Small forward with speed who improved as the 2010 season progressed. Had a superb WAFL under-18 finals series and was largely responsible for Peel's advance to the grand final. 18yo Indiginous 177cm 72kg Cameron Johnston Versatile player with no weaknesses to his game. A medium sized forward with the ability to play up the ground. Runs long and hard, with a booming and accurate kick. 18yo 181cm 78kgs
  19. Rd 14 Daniel Nicholson Uni Blues Rd 31 Michael Evans Claremont Rd 48 Kelvin Lawrence Peel Thunder Rd 63 Cameron Johnston Geelong Falcons Rd 75 Robert Campbell Box Hill Hawks Rd 83 Tom McNamara Melb I guess we couldn't go a season without a Johnson on our list Campbell a big surprise. Premiership ruckman. Can he play fwd? Well done to Tommy Mac as well for perseverance. Lets hope he forces his chance.
  20. Why would that be irrelevant? If the guy had an attitude problem then it is clearly in the club's interest to ensure he doesn't have it any more (if indeed they are considering taking him). Pretty relevant to me. Why do you think clubs take so much interest in a potential draft pick's family, schooling, leadership, attitude etc? Wasted talent is a cliche but true. There's plenty of it around. Hundreds of examples of talented players that don't put in and ultimately fail.
  21. Or maybe just your spelling Please. No nudity on this site.
  22. Was also known as a FIGJAM.
  23. Really interesting to see our push in past few years for height, speed and skills with adaptability. Guys like Fitzpatrick, Watts, Jurrah, Martin, Davis are all super quick and tall. Could be a pretty frightening side to match up on in a few years. OUR TALLS..... Gawn 208 Spencer 203 Fitzpatrick 200 Martin 198 Jamar 198 Watts 196 Cook 196 Warnock 194 McDonald 194 Newton 193 Frawley 193 Rivers 192 Morton 192 Dunn 192 Davis 192 Bate 192 Garland 191 Howe 190 Gysberts 190 MacDonald 188 Jurrah 188
  24. Cook was described by BP as a tall lead up fwd. That means we have Watts, Fitzpatrick, Cook, Howe and possibly Jurrah as lead up fwds. Do we have anyone that is not a lead up forward? Someone that can stay at home (a la Ben Holland) and knock the ball to our crumbers if they cannot mark it?? Hale was supposed to fit that bill.
  25. Yeah me. They must type in the numbers on a screen that hit the pc's before they read em out or something like that!
