  1. It's what DB has been trying to do for a while. Basically the players are running and running hard. They are spreading and offering options. They have faith that their lead will be honoured (ie: someone will kick it to them). We are definitely hitting targets. We are moving the ball quickly and so are not doing the ring-a-rosy thing with handballs in the backline. Because we are moving quickly players upfield are getting free of their opponents. Players are gaining more confidence in their ability to take on the game. It's a virtuous circle but one that is broken if one part doesn't function like it should.
  2. What he's saying is that every game from the 2003 premiership until now they have had at least 1 premiership player playing. Good stat that. They'll have as much experience as us! In fact we'll have more because Green played in the 2000 GF.
  3. The advantage of using a relief ruck is that we have an extra running player which can come in very handy.
  4. If we had have won that game against Richmond we would have simply lost to Freo in the next few rounds. Draft picks 1 & 2 delivered. So while Jordan was handy for us he wouldn't have dee-railed our plans
  5. It was a different leg, not a re-occurring injury.
  6. Disgraceful, ignorant post
  7. patience grasshopper....
  8. Was due to play in the two's and got a virus. Is right now I believe.
  9. Yeah right. OK guys no helmets on motorbikes any more, Skipper 3 says its OK!!
  10. He might have been matched up on Burton for a bit but Bruce was on him for most of the first half from what I can recall. And not every defender is going to stop every fwd from kicking a goal!
  11. Yeah Blease is a hack as well. Hasn't made it so cut him
  12. What is important is that we are learning what it takes to be in games until the end. Running, running and more running. We now have a minimum standard that we cannot dip below in terms of effort. We will get beaten by better class sides but will keep learning from those experiences.
  13. Joel MacDonald might have something to prove this week. Let's hope he does to Brisbane what ex-Melbourne players have always done to us. I seem to remember Farmer, Brian Wilson and a few others killing us in the past when playing back against us.
  14. I accept all the apologies on behalf of my namesake
  15. I agree with your top 6 but its not one that will instill fear into opposition just yet.
  16. They can have Jame Spencer (whoever he is) I'll keep Jake Spencer.
  17. Dont forget DB knew Bail from Mt Gravatt so was fully aware of his capabilities. A good call by the coach I'd say.
  18. Well for some here who say he is a butcher he shut them up. And he hasn't played one good game, he's actually played a good season - his first one before he did his ankle against the Crows.
  19. Bartram 20 disposals 100% EFFICIENCY! So much for butchering the ball! Great job on the weekend. Back to his first year best.
  20. He'll be playing next year. Take my word for it:)
  21. The tops of the goal posts were swaying a good 15-20cm I would estimate. For most of the day.
  22. Bartram 20 possessions 100% efficiency. How about basing it on that??
  23. Nil contendo - no contest. Stef for me.
  24. Adelaide had a good fwd line so maybe they are looking for extra defenders??
  25. Actually I think you are wrong. I clearly saw the ball hit the ground. And not that its relevant to the decision but he had a week and a half to get rid of it!
