It's probably about preparation, recovery, opposition homework etc. Some players aren't very coachable in that way and maybe its something to do with that?

Typically frank assessments. Right on the money I would say.

Dank has threatened to sue all and sundry since this charade started. He has said he will tell his story at the right time. He has said he has information that will exonerate the players. We are still waiting. Dank rhymes with????

True but WS didn't even START investigating until late 2012 when they had a complaint lodged. That should be the subject of an ICAC inquiry. Far King dis grace.

The goal might have been a bit lucky but his 100m run was fantastic as was a 2nd game player telling the Captain where to kick it. Good players make their own luck don't they? -

A bit surprised this thread hasn't been updated since the win over Geelong. In the euphoria we seem to have missed that we have a very promising player in ANB. I see prior to his debut there was a lot of talk that he wasn't ready and hasn't had enough game time since coming back from injury etc but his game on the weekend was outstanding. When was the last time a 2nd gamer kicked 3 goals for us? Watching the replay again I was more impressed than my first impressions. Thought he contested well, seemd to run all day without a problem and certainly knew where the goals were. He looked very composed. The goal in the 1st quarter was a cracker. He was alongside Lumumba on the wing and kept running as the ball was moved down the boundary line. The ball was kick inside to Jones on the 50m line and there was ANB tellnig Jones to move it on quickly to Watts all alone about 15m out. He kept running and when watts played on and got himself intotrouble he handballed over the top to ANB who had run around 100m and finished off a great team goal. If we didn't have so many good players on the day there would be much more written about this guy. Its early but might have unearthed another player. -
I'd like to win two in a row.....

Shoud match the rest of your 'outfit' .......

The Dorks present training base is the 4th worst in the league according to themselves...not sure why we would want it....

My kids love Bernie Vince. He's a crowd pleaser and we need that as well as a club....

Its not the list so much as the players playing like a team and doing team things. Running, spreading, being smarter how they tackle, closing off and chking down opposition attacks, running to the right spots, defending kick ins and tackling hard etc. Even running to players after a goal has shown great team spirit among this bunch. Taking responsibility for the St Kilda loss and coming out to play the way they did was awesome. We now have players that are getting better at some of the things that the good teams do. The bottom 6 players in good teams aren't champions. They do their role and are well drilled. I am hoping that what I am seeing is a well drilled team that has the confidence and energy to compete for 120 minutes every week. Now for two wins in a row.......

Hopefully there will be a few more after the attendance by the Dee players.

Dangerfield kicked 6 goals the week after he played us after he was tackled by Trengove. The doctors report being the determining factor in the 3 weeks JT got. I am forever dirty on Adelaide for that and the system. It is yet again rules on the run and made after an event.

Post Match Discussion - Round 12 (never in doubt)
jnrmac replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Lets face it, Watts has played appallingly the past few years and his attack at the contest has been non-existent. FFS he even got beaten by Jamie Bennell in a one on one and was regularly beaten in contests by all and sundry. He is an elite ball user and decision maker but his physicality and lame attempts at tackling, chasing and picking up his opponent have been part of the 'culture' problem as I see it. He has improved out of sight in the past few weeks. I couldn't be happier for the team and for us, the supporters, I hope it is a true watershed for him and his confidence. The whole " I am dropping myself to the Reserves" thing smelled a bit weird to me but whatever the reason it seems to have worked well. Long may it continue. -

Did anyone see Steve Johnson giving it to Nate JOnes at the end? It was quite funny. Jones was running around screaming "1 minute left" - Johnson was laughing and looked to be saying "have you bought a watch this week?" "Its OK you've got this" etc..he was having a good laugh...
