  1. Defenders panic when the ball is kicked in his direction.
  2. That's like Hird claiming the players were proven innocent. They were nothing of the sort. We know already that he is delusional......
  3. If a fwd runs off the ground it leaves us exposed if the ball goes down there. Hence when a goal is scored the opportunity for a fwd to go off the ground is there without disadvantaging the side.
  4. Wasn't Tom Hawkins 1st game against us. 5 goals from memory???
  5. They are angling for decent comp when Aish leaves. All clubs play that game now..
  6. I think you'll find thats a pretty generic response. My understanding from a long time ago is that memberships that offer away games as well do split the money in an away game. From memory it might only be around $3 per game but its something. I also seem to recall that we generate around $750k from QB but can't verify that number.
  7. errr of course it is. Its our home game. We get all the gate receipts and corporate function revenue etc. Not sure of what you mean with "their members aren't paying at the gate". Why wouldn't they be? If they have a premium membership that allows away games I believe we still get a cut of that on the day. Its a great day for us and we do very well out of it.
  8. Pleasure
  9. I wish there was a button where you could see Ed's head explode....
  10. http://demonland.com/forums/index.php?/topic/35541-neville-jetta-delisted/ There ya go. Some interesting comments there fellows and gals.....
  11. Yeah because you are such a prodigious picker of talent.....
  12. Sorry but I think this is rubbish. And in any case it wasn't televised on Channel 7. This is a Coll home game and their supporters get in for free unless they have 50000 supporters with those dodgy 2 or 3 game memberships. Probably more something like that. Hawthorn Carlton had 25k on a Friday night and we had 23k against the Saints on a Sunday at 3:20pm. Its not us who are the problem. But fans generally are sick of the AFL and their rigged fixturing. Or maybe people didn't want to go because they didn't want to have racist shouted at them because they booed.
  13. Typically insurance cover for executives and directors covers them when someone else is suing them (with the usual caveats that they must not have been doing anything illegal etc). I haven't heard of an insurance cover for execs that allows them to sue - particularly in these circumstances. He is a dead set muppet. As for his wife's legal skills they sound pretty shoddy....
  14. Really? Wow he is stupider than I thought. Who would launch that legal action without checking first whether it was covered?
  15. Serviceable? Do watch games? Or pontificate from your lofty perch? Absolutely dependable, reliable and smart. The mr fix-it of our team. A lock for 2016.
  16. You're wrong on Grimes and Peterson (!)
  17. Ha ha teams that get beaten by Melbourne are always "in crisis" Makes me laugh!
  18. just finished watching. all good for me
  19. Nah you are forgetting the massive difference in effort each week. We can cop occasional poor skills if we see consistent effort and gradual improvement. I know the club is frustrated at the output. They can't work out why the difference each week is so great. And I for one am not re-setting the clock from when ROos got here. I am not waiting another 8-10 yrs for improvement. Neither are my kids. We need to see genuine competitiveness ASAP
  20. Agreed. Its the commercial opportunities that distort the ability to recruity players.
  21. I don't think you need me to tell you they aren't clever OD! Some pretty basic under 11 stuff that we don't do well....
  22. We had 12 of those paid against us last week. I have given up on the AFL . They have far ked up the game. and ps, its all about the interchange. Keep cutting it back.
  23. I think they are taught not to overcommit to a contest. Hawthorn do it. You rarely see three Hawk players tackling. Usually its one. The other two wait for the ball to spill out. We often have 2 or three players commit to a tackle and then the ball flips out to an opp'n player and they are away. We aren't very smart in that dept. Sheperding is similar I believe. They should not get rid of th eball to a player who needs shepherding. They shld get rid of the ball to a player in space. Because we play hot potato our players put themselves under pressure. This is exacerbated by not shepherding...
  24. I'm shocked......
