Seriously It costs around $60-70m a year to run a club. They don't make profits (well maybe a small accounting profit). Stop whining. Its really easy to take pot shots but a lot harder to be pro-active. Make a suggestion. Be part of the solution if you think there is a problem. Contact the club and offer them your event organising skills. The night sells out so clearly many think it is a good night. You clearly have never organised such a large event (and not many have) but if you have ever organised a function like this you would know that you can't do anything with large numbers like that for under $200 a head. $250 a head is about right. What sort of alternative would you suggest? A BBQ at the G? I'd be really interested in your alternatives to 'reach out to supporters' whatever that means.

I repeat that either: A) the club knew what was being given to the players - if it was legal we would know about it by now. Hence it was clearly illegal. or B) the club didn't know what was given to the players. -which is actually as bad if not worse that they would experiment on young players like that Footy clubs keep meticulous records on everything. There is nothing left to chance. Particularly when you are running a 'cutting edge' program that costs around $600-700k. They wantto know the levels of improvement or otherwise on each player. It is simply implausible that they did not have records. The questions I don't get are why the players are still behind Hird? Why aren't parents, player managers, wives and partners up in arms about this? If I had "concrete injected into my arse" I would not be happy...

No where is that ASADA rule about team sanctions if two or more players from a team are suspended for drugs......... Media are awfully quiet. Even those ferals at EFC that seem to be intent on spraying faecal matter on the whole code in order to divert attention, blame all and sundry and dig themselves out of their own hole......

How many far king times this year have we been killed by the loose man in defence. North started the game with a loose man in defence FFS. Maybe I don't know what the 'strategy' of the coach is but this is really starting to get on my nerves. EVERY time we go man on man (Geelong anyone ?) we play good footy and don't get blown out of the water. When we allow good teams to have a loose man and move it around at will we get slaughtered. BUMP After rd 18 we have 30 goal scorers Hogan 32 Garlet 32 Vince 10 Jones 9 Howe 9 Newton 7 Pedersen 6 Tyson 6 Watts 6 Dawes 6 The first two are excellent. We all would have been thrilled at the start of the season to be at that number by this point. The rest look a bit disappointing to me.....
