  1. Who are you again? When did we entertain trading Weideman? (If you are going to troll best to get the spelling right)
  2. Agree with most of your post but wasn't Moloney crook that day? Had 0 stats at half time and spent the second half asleep in the rooms? Surely shouldn't have played but probs wasn't a big part of 186....
  3. I think you'll find they beat us and Collingwood at the G...
  4. It's not as bad as you make it out to be. He was recounting how in his first final last year he was "packing his dacks". He said that Melbourne players would be feeling nervous and he is right. But I think that will go away quite quickly.
  5. interestingly the message seems to have evolved over the season. From not worrying about what has gone on before it, we cant change the past, to writing our own narrative to embracing our successful past. I guess as the team knocks over various hoodoos and unwanted records it is finally safe to embrace the successful past. He certainly comes across as measured (which frustrated me earlier in the season) and I get the feeling the players won't be overawed by their first final. The process, each contest and supporting/trusting your team mates mantra has been well drilled into them. I'm excited for Friday.
  6. Some other time perhaps. Not this week.
  7. You are related to him aren't you...Or is it Oscar? If not you must keep his picture under your pillow.
  8. Geelong are 16th for centre clearances. Its their defensive rebound where they will be confident of winning it. That's why our last two weeks have been so important. Hitting up targets i50 AND stopping run from defence. 19 fwd marks against WC.
  9. Nothing, I repeat nothing good will come from this.
  10. The 2000 GF was a debacle in this regard. Daniher all giggly during the week. Sheedy mean and down to business. A lot of back slapping in the Melbourne rooms unlike Ess where they were boxing to get revved up. He brought back that thug Dean Wallis - he and Long should have been sent off. The world is different today and I agree they might try that stuff but I have the feeling we are better prepared for it. It starts at the contest and we are a lot better than them at it. I hope we smash them.
  11. Hmmm. ... Smith back for kent allowing Fritsch to go to the wing or Fwd where his laser passes will create scoring opportunities...Viney in straight swap for Tyson Hannan might be unlucky. His game against WC was excellent but you can't take injured players into a final...

There you go being angry again....
  14. Just pure garbage sorry.
  15. Seems to have clear instructions to run to the front of the pack.

The players got the result they wanted? You might be happy with that but it spelled 'issues' for me. What are the leaders of the club there for if not to deal with this sort of thing? It's like Gysberts refusing to run a 3km time trial because its too hot....
  17. In round 1 they had 24 entries for 20 shots on goal in the first half. They scored 80pts. The second time we played them they scored 8 goals to 3/4 time and 8 goals in the last to win. The past two weeks we have played much better offensively by hit up passes (19 fwd half marks against WC) and much better defensively like we have the past two weeks. We play like the past two weeks and we win.

The players went behind the leaders' backs and behind the coaches backs and went to the AFLPA. That is the only issue.
  19. Easy mistake....
  20. Very happy for the kids first final. Dad happier Good luck to everyone else trying to get in. Ticketek is a shambles...
  21. I got through around 11:50, hung around in the queue and refreshed until 12:00. Pretty quick once in. 8 seats in MCC done. Couldnt pick seats like normally. Automatically allocated.
  22. Why would you be? He had played 28 game with 24 of them being pretty average and he was 25 after being out of the game for almost 2 years. There was nothing to be optimistic about. But he has been a revelation since returning and his hardness is fantastic.
  23. Geelong are 16th in centre clearances. So much for the 'holy trinity'.
