  1. No it wasn't. It was Sheedy.
  2. He's been doing it for at least 4 years. Its not new....
  3. It is totally legal to stand next to the man on the mark according to the rules. However umpires have the teammate stand back generally until play on is called. Its an abomination and should be banned. Either that or a team should be able to bump the guy to the ground despite him being more than 5m from the ball.
  4. Oh and we gave up nearly 25% today. That will really stand us in good stead for later in the year. What a flipping bunch of muppets.
  5. Sadly neither did the players
  6. So Goodwin's secret tactic today was to have a spare man in the fwd line and a spare man in defence at the centre bounces. No wingmen at all. You can take that and consign it straight to the dustbin
  7. We gave two first round picks for Lever. The draft is not where we will find talent
  8. It is not our biggest problem. Which bit don't you get? They enter our fwd 50 15 times and have 12 shots at goal? Are you serious? The league average is something like 43% and we are at 80% The Geelong game was the same. 24 entres for 20 shots at goal in the first half and we conceded 80 points. I don't care if Jesus H Christ is at full forward for Melbourne, you aren't going to win many games with that defensive effort. Our defensive structure (if we have one) is not working.
  9. You said mental application wasn't our problem in that game, I say it was 100% our problem cos we didn't lay a tackle in the first 15 mins Feel free to continue arguing against the unarguable.
  10. Which part of not laying one single tackle was Collingwood?
  11. Really? So you think Goodwin told them not to lay a tackle in the first 15mins of the Coll game? It was 100% mental application. You are so wide of the mark it ain't funny/
  12. We have a team full of dumb footballers with zero leadership. Our defence is amateur hour. Hawks had 15 entries for 12 shots at goal Not sure what the finished total was but this is the identical issue to that we faced against Geelong when they had 20 shots at goal from 24 entries in the first half! Coupled with our unbelievable inefficiency going fwd and the game was gone. 1 goal in 3 quarters of football from plenty of entries says it all. Goodwin can't coach. There, I have said it. We are fuckered
  13. Seriously have a listen to yourself
  14. Sure but he he cant 'demand' the club does anythinG. He was also part of the cabal that nearly saw this club go under. Well intentioned but an unmitigated disaster. he can stay well away from the club as far as I am concerned.
  15. Was a shame Ryan Ferguson and Brad Sewell weren't traded............
  16. Excellent. Let max use it as a spur...
  17. He did but it can be hard to maintain motivation when you are consistently left out of the side..not sure what the issues are but I'd be confident he knows what they are..
  18. Thank you
  19. Sounds like Brayshaw tagging mitchell to me.....
  20. Lyon says melbourne "needs to explain"... err no they dont. And the last time you got involved in the club dipstick you helped set us back 8 years.
  21. No I wouldn't say that. Jetta is pretty good one on one and plays taller than he is. He's not slow and makes good decisions. Maybe no stand out trait but he's gone in a range of areas. We can only hope he develops into a Jetta like player.
  22. 21 goals in the last 12 games including at least 1 every game. Hasn't kicked a goal this year. He is perplexing as his start last year was very slow - to be expected after a year out - but this year he hasn't hit form yet.... Thx for the video by the way.....!
  23. I don't particulalry rate Wagner altho he has certainly improved this year. He has increased his attack on the ball carrier, become a better tackler and has less lame turnovers. Wagner doesn't seem to have any particular strengths - he isn't fast, he's not strong overhead, he's not a brilliant decision maker, he is only average one on one and his disposals skills are a work in progress - but he may develop into a solid and reliable backman given time. I hope so because its a critical role.
  24. You are either willfully misrepresenting what happened or you can't see. Lever had eyes on the ball, was running back, took his eyes off for a split second to see where his opponent was and then turned back towards the ball. Totally legal. Nothing in the rules whatsoever against this. He did not impede Goldstein at all.
