WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
Spoke to a very keen Nth Melb guy at lunch today who was saying the Pruess was a great pick up. Very tough, talented a little loose with his elbows but hard as nails. Very sad to see him go and thought he would do very good things for the Dees. Couldn't understand why he would go to Melb to be second fiddle though....

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
I know you have been lamenting our backline for a the past few years as I have. Our additions are an absolute game changer. Added to that we have serious grunt and hurt factor. May, Viney, Vanders, Hibberd and Jetta are contested beasts. Oppositions will know they have been tackled and that actual and preceived pressure will be a great bonus for us.

His short delivery is actually pretty good. I understand his instructions have been to give it off quickly to the easiest option. No hero shots. As such he has done well. He'll never be a Salem with his disposal but the whole package of Frost has some very strong traits.

I am no Doctor but from what I have read his concussions have been neck related rather than 'head' related. Club was confident that this had been sorted out...

Anyone else notice how we are building quite a team of left footers.... May, KK, Salem, Hibberd, Fritsch, Viney, Lewis, Hannan, Wagner.... Have I missed any?

End of season bonus payments.
There are all sorts of incentives for B&F finishes, Brownlow, finals, games played etc. It would vary widely I imagine. Someone like a Dusty would be on quite large incentives...

Garlett is done. I am shocked he wasn't put out to trade. His last half of the year at Casey was woeful.

I think he was too open earlier in the week about: a) what we wanted for Hogan and b) the fact we couldn't get May without Hogan going. It painted us into a corner. But I guess that is his style and clubs generally have dealt well with us. GC were pretty patient its just that short statured person from Freo that was a complete muppet

So its being reported that Essendon and Collingwood both gave up 2x first round draft picks for Shiel and Beams respectively. We were shafted.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I'm hoping Andrew Brayshaw gets very homesick this year after his terrible incident with Gaff. Would only be right and proper that Freo let him come to Melbourne on compassionate grounds. We'd be happy to give you Bell-ends a future 4th rounder....

Glaring weakness in defence
BUMP for this thread, Clearly the footy dept has decided that we have a big weakness in defence. Should be some people embarrased by what they have written in this thread trying to justify our defensive efforts. 2018 was better than 2017 but clearly a massive issue for the coaching staff. It's taken us two years to get Lever and May for 3 first round picks and we have lost a gun forward in the process. A big price to pay. Let's hope its worth it.

I'd be happy if TMac kicked 10 goals on his younger brother..

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I like the idea that there is some sneaky trade that is not out in the open. But I agree that player managers and list managers generally have loose lips around this time..... And we have done trades such as the Tyson, Salem trade that were never touted openly. Mahoney has said we have a number of deals that might fall in to place but we need to deal with the Hogan issue first so you can never say never.. .My guess would be pick swaps if we can deal with the Hogan issue sensibly....

I propose a straight swap with OMac...

I am not your intern. Look it up yourself. Not too hard

Farewell Jesse Hogan
From memory he either said two high first round draft picks or two top 10 picks..I couldn't be arsed looking it up but feel free to flick back a few pages and you might find it....

Farewell Jesse Hogan

What do you care? There is plenty of speculation on here. SOme of us are happy to read it and make of it what we want. You sound like..............Peter Bell....

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Freo have offered Geelong pick 11 for tim Kelly. Let that sink in. they really are useless.
