  1. 3 Scum players in the votes? Joke.
  2. Honestly this is just pure rubbish, He has had a really good start to the year, no question but have a look at the forst foray Essendon made into its fwd line where he loses the one on one and then allows his man to run off the mark into an open goal as an example. He is learning and improving but you are trying to make him sound like Mathew Scarlett and Stephen Silvagni rolled into one.
  3. Well it was mooted that we wouldn't lose much in a direct 'swap' of Watts for Fritsch but its quite likely we will gain significantly. And the upside is terrific
  4. And they had 7 AAs in their team....what a joke. Joe Daniher, Cale Hooker, Michael Hurley, Dyson Heppell, Zach Merrett, Brendon Goddard and Jake Stringer
  5. I don't know, thats why it was so frustrating. My guess is that whilst we looked bad we actually were getting the ball into our 50. If we goal with the 3 posters in the first half we would be talking about a different thing. At half time they addressed the obvious and it was effectively game over.
  6. Very important player the last two weeks. has found his form...
  7. Hey @Watts the matter how do you think Melk has gone the last two weeks?
  8. We fumbled a lot in the first half on Sunday and it was indoors with perfect conditions....just sayin....
  9. I'll just leave this here what I said about the Richmond game........ Our form against Richmond was OK and you could see it turning around. Our 3 first half posters would have made a big difference at half time against the Scum but we clicked in the second half and hopefully will take some belief from that. Our efficiency and fwd pressure improved dramatically. The jury is still out on Goodwin's match day for me but he did ring the changes and brought in some real spark. He was very slow to stop the Ess switch and we refused to switch against Richmond but after half time on Sunday he made the changes required and it was a much more polished performance.
  10. This could be the worst timed post of the year....
  11. "This is what we do up in Albury to blokes that have man buns!"
  12. Fritsch is too old by 3 weeks. Must be under 21 on 1 January of the year.
  13. We hit the post 4 times, 3 times in the first quarter I think. Unlucky. We smashed them in the centre clearances and it makes a huge difference to the outcome. The goal that D Smith kicked in the last 3 minutes shouldn't have been allowed. Daniher played on from the wing - was outside the boundary line, ran past our player and the mark and kicked the ball fwd. He didn't enter the field of play and once he played on past the mark should have been a throw in. Elementary mistake by umpires which is pathetic and could have cost a game. Not good enough. Like what Spargo brings and we functioned much better as a fwd line when we pressure to keep the ball in. Hannan and Fritsch were excellent. TMac adds good value to our team with his flexibility and ability to contest fiercely. Jetta had his best game for some time and Melk has lifted bigtime the last two weeks.
  14. Daniher would have to the most over-rated player in the competition? And a [Rhymes with Banker] to boot
  15. Wow. Have you painted your house red & blue? And your letterbox? I think you could be my Demon hero.
  16. well you have Gough Whitlam as your avatar........
  17. That blonde 22 git was the worst......
  18. Look we played poorly on the weekend and I was gutted. But we got the ball into our 50 a lot and were terribly inefficient. Some of the things like 4 flying for a mark/spoil or 3/4 players tackling 1 player rather than waiting on the outside can be easily fixed with a bit of nous and leadership on the ground. Ess are much worse and we should spank them. I say 45 points.
  19. Great lets just wait another four years when they have another 80 games under their belt.
  20. Yes he stepped up when Gawn went down but in the bigger picture he hasn't performed consistently. Maybe thats because he hasn't been picked consistently but no-one can argue that he has. I think he has had plenty of chances and I am a fan. BTW his form in the Geelong game wasn't great. Particularly his marking where I recall he dropped at least 3 or 4 that I would expect him to take.
  21. Regardless of what happened re the camp it should NEVER have gone outside the four walls of the club. That is the real and most damning issue.
  22. Dion J congratulating Spargo was good. Hopefully he gets a rocket that Spargs got a game before him.....
  23. We did lose to their seconds side a few years back............
