  1. He can take a grab. I think his numbers for marking are elite. So if he is on the wing we have a very interesting set up with Max and he taking down the line marks. That should help us enormously. I like the comparison above - like TMac but with better disposal.
  2. Elliott is hopeless anyway.... ha ha
  3. My understanding he was told to take the game on but give the ball off to the first option - ie don't try to be too fancy. In that regard he has mostly stuck to the plan. He has been used to take on the Buddy's or Danihers in the past but perhaps may is now that option and so the uses for Frosty are more limited. I read somewhere that Tomlinson is being touted as a winger but for mine Frosty could play that role quite well. Certainly better than Jones or Lewis like we did in 2019!
  4. Someone hack your account?

  6. "No X in Nixon" is a palandrome though....
  7. My view is that Goody lost the players this year. They weren't buying what he was selling. I get that others have different views. Thats fine of course But lets say i'm right. His window for getting it right next year is tiny. They have rolled the dice and turned over most of the coaching staff. Everything has to go right in the preseason and the first 4 or so rounds. If not it will implode. Its a big ask.
  8. This is the core of the problem. Look at Richmond...selfless team orientated football. Solid structures. Every player plays their role. We are the opposite of that. And when players lose faith on the 'system' they start looking after their own game, own player, own stats etc. 'Why should I run to position if they don't kick it to me' or '.. if no-one else does' Our players looked lost out there with ball in hand and with their run and spread. That tells you exactly what they think of the game plan and the ability of the coaches to correct things. Yet all along the club said things were turning the corner and all would be right and we'll reset during the bye etc....they were badly wrong. There is a mountain of trouble there and if it doesn't go right in the pre-season and the first few rounds all hell will break loose because players and fans will see another train wreck about to happen in 2020 and it will be every man for himself. Goodwin has a very short window to turn this around. And he will have a whole new team of assistants who will take time to bed down what they want from this team, how the coaching panel will work etc. It's a monumental task. It's very concerning.
  9. That went well. Won 2 of the last 10. Ship righted. On the ocean floor.
  10. Similar to Ben Holland. Can take a strong grab but lucky dip when it comes to kicking. Not entirely against the idea.We don't have a big number of strong markers
  11. Melb 5 Carlton 7 lions 10 hes joking right?
  12. You don't get far in this industry criticising people. Ask Dale Lewis how his post football career has gone............
  13. We should trade all our picks for picks 20-29, then we could nail some champs...

  21. This is the opposite of melbourne
  22. Not bad? Wow you're a hard marker. Clarko will go down as the best coach from the last 50 years. And his apprentices will likely have strong success as well.
  23. yes....ahem.... Cameron Schwab....
  24. It's totally financial. You are completely wrong there. When the expansion plan was formed 60% of the advertising dollars in Australia came from NSW and Southern Queensland. AFL was under 'attack' from Rugby League (post the NewsCorp Super League massive spend) and soccer. In 2008 (when the expansion plan was formulated) 20 of the top 25 rated sports programs (ie: most viewers) were Rugby League (barring the Olympics) or thereabouts. Rugby League doesn't draw big crowds but is huge on TV. The AFL was totally driven by expanding to provide more product so they could sell bigger braodcast deals and generate more ad revenue.
  25. Ha ha what a joke. He came 21st in the B&F at his first year at Port. He's a superstar. But a true measurement by his club over a prolonged period and you choose to ignore the results. You are Jack Watts.
