  1. Watch the play in the last qtr where Lever stopped the almost certain goal and in the background you see Hunt take off and burn off 3 or 4 geelong players in the chase to put pressure on. Great stuff
  2. I confess I was chatting to him pre-season and was very confident after speaking with him about his prospects. Said high half forward is a very difficult role to play. You can do the same thing each week and one week have 3 posessions the other kick 4 goals like in the last round v Essendon. So much depnds on what happens up the ground. He was looking forward to being allowed to be more creative off half back under the new rules. Appears to be gaining more confidence and finding a good rapport with Langdon, Salem, May etc.
  3. I know its only round 4 but Hunt so far is looking terrific.....
  4. One of Fritsch Picket or Jackson was involved in every single goal (except the Gawn centre square goal but Jackson was competing in the goal square at least)
  5. We need a premiership Kate
  6. He. Is. 19 years old. He was a bottom age recruit that has amazing potential. Wow.
  7. Not sure if it's been mentioned but we have won 6 on the trot as we won the final 2 games of last year... Not sure when that happened last...
  8. Let's hope she has success much like Peggy O'Neill.....
  9. I saw this guy there ....
  10. I saw Hunt streaming through the middle to put pressure on. This team is behaving selflessly which we haven't seen for a long time
  11. I said after round 2 we are starting to see some maturity from this team and yesterday confirmed it in my view. Solid all round game. Hunt finding his feet at half back, Kozzie doing Kozzie things, Gawn a towering strength, Petracca imposing himself like we knew he could, Oliver relentless in his pursuit of the ball, Langdon - totally indefatigable and very creative, Lever rock solid general down back and a shout out to Tomlinson who has performed very well this year and particularly yesterday when called upon to take Hawkins. There is something about this group that shows resolve and confidence in the way the are playing. When things weren't happening down back, Lever took control and really rallied the team. A lot to like.
  12. Gawn Petracca Lever Viney Oliver 0.5 Fritsch 0.5 Langdon
  13. How about we select the right side to match and beat the opposition? Just a thought. There seems to be a lot less experimenting with personnel in the first few rounds this year compared to previous years. It might be because we're winning or it might be because we're more mature as a group. We've certainly shown greater signs of maturity in the first 3 rounds.
  14. You clearly don't play golf Sue! When you play golf in the wind its very easy to know what the wind does to a ball's flight. You know when you hit a solid straight shot or if you have hit the ball with a draw (or slice) . The sideways movements are exacerbated but a straight shot is much less affected generally. I doubt it is any different for kicking a football.
  15. I don't think so because at least 3 were rushed. Not sure how many....
  16. Last 3 Head to head at the MCG 2020 Cats 47 Dees 44 2018 EF Melb 75 Geel 46 2018 Rd 1 Cats 97 Dees 94 We should win.
  17. Against Freo at least 8 of our 14 points went left.
  18. This is what TMac did in 2018. He has drifted from that recently but was a dead eye [censored] back then
  19. Are there any foregone conclusions you are trying to support?
  20. The issue is game time for those that aren't in the seniors. How does a Melksham for example get match fit....? With less rotations, the possibility of player fatigue is high and the ability of clubs to manage the fitness of their player rosters is compromised.
  21. Geelongs game plan is well known. Chip chip. We have to be patient, structured down back and pressure the ball carrier. It looks as though we have improved our maturity this year along with pressure acts and team efforts. we should be right. But we need to take our chances when we get a shot on goal...
  22. What a debacle the VFL still doing pre-season pratice matches when we are up to round 4. Amateur hour
  23. The ol 6 6 6 chestnut....
  24. I was surprised that Trac had so many possessions when I reveiwed the stats. On first viewing I thought he had an average game (for him). Perhaps because his disposals weren't as damaging. I hope he doesn't go possession chasing from here on and instead goes for maximum team impact.
  25. The AFL have inadvertantly solved the kick in problem we have had for a decade or more...
