  1. Haha, it's so obvious I missed it. Suddenly everything is begining to make sense.
  2. There can only be one rational explanation for all of these goings on. Thirteen black cats must have walked accross the path of someone breaking 13 mirrors whilst walking under 13 ladders and spilling salt 13 times, and they've obviously done it 13 times now. It's either that or there is black magic afoot. Someone has cursed this club and we need to find them. I for one, and I'm sure Jaded agrees, have my finger squarely pointed at Watts. So what's the proceedure again? If he drowns, that's good, it means he's not a witch, but if he floats he's a witch and must be burnt at the stake. Let the witch hunt begin!
  3. The whole cashew-raisin balance is askew!

  4. They should hit Mifsud with something he would never expect....... "Fetch the cushions!" "Fetch the comfy chair!" On seconds thoughts, maybe they already have!
  5. The problem that Schwab has at the moment is that we've signed a record BOJ sponsorship. The Energywatch sponsorship is over and above the combined value of the previous major sponsors. So why is that a problem? By signing a FOJ sponsor just for the sake of having one would be undermining and undervaluing Energywatch's investment. A slap in the face. And we should be looking for a long term sponsor, not just a stop gap, short term sponsor. Do you sign a 1 year $1 million dollar deal now, or could you wait until mid season to find someone to sign 3 years @$1.5 million per year. Schwab is right to hold on
  6. I went to the pub last night and there was this generously sized girl dancing on a table. I walked passed and said "wow, amazing legs". The girl giggled and said with a smile "Do you really think so". I said "Definitely, most tables would have collapsed by now"!! Here's a few clips from my favourite comedy movie Hercules Returns. It's Aussie, it's a classic and it's a pissah! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6dgOu6sj9Y
  7. We can trade for an elite mid. But unless we happen to snare 2 or 3 of them we'll still need a couple of our young guys to develop into something resembling an elite player. But honestly do we really need to have an elite midfielder to set an example for others. Can we not take anything out of playing against elite mids? Does every club rely on developing players this way? We've got too many holes to fill. We can't rely on trading or drafting. We need our young players to step up and a few more to take that extra step and become elite, otherwise we're f..ked.
  8. I was pumped this morning. Got up and got the paper, had my 80's mix cranked on the stereo, kicked nine colours of s..t out of todays sudoku's. Jack Jack 3.7 I thought to myself that I should have a crack at the changes for next week, while I had a heightened sense of problem solving. Jack Jack 3.8 Then I sat down, collected all the relevant information, and realised what I was up against. I think I might go back to bed.
  9. That's what gets me. We're in our 6th year (potentially) of cellar dwelling. We've had at least 4 years of solid development. Game plan aside, we should be seeing some better performances from our players. But where is the improvement? Where are the players that have been in the system for 3,4,5 years that are standing up? Why is a first game player best on ground for us?
  10. With more performances like that we'll be splashed all over the papers, tv etc. That's great coverage for a sponsor.
  11. Disappointing game today. I can't help but think we need someone to really give the players a rev up. Uncompromising, draw a line in the sand kinda guy. Vote 1 for Leon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BL35da4x0D0
  12. Be fair, he's probably very good at non-contact games.

Rubio is a gem. Timberwolves will be great to watch next season when he comes back. Carn the Spurs! I'm a bit of a swing voter when it comes to NBA teams, so it's an easy thing for me to shift my allegiances. There's some teams I like more than others, but generally I just find it entertaining to watch. Some of the stuff these guys are capable of is just amazing. Yes, sending Fisher to a Western Conference rival certainly could blow up in their face. I would have thought that giving away Odom was a far worse decision, although he's not exactly lighting it up in Dallas. I guess it's a bit hit and miss with the team names. There's probably a good reason why OKC are the Thunder and not the Super Sonics. I just don't know what it is. Edit: Although it was a pretty messy ending for the Sonics. That may have something to do with it.
  14. I got the call today. It's not the first time my brother has told me he's disappointed in me. But apparently my niece and nephew are now excited little Dees fans running around the house with their horns on. And if I wasn't already in my sister in laws bad books, i certainly will be now, she's just had her face painted red & blue. Priceless.
  15. Interesting stuff. Scary what ice can do to people. Unfortunately the last 4 audio is screwed up. Bill Gates strikes again. I read an article updating the Cousins situation today. Demetriou says the AFL players association have been in contact with Cousins a few times of late but that he has refused their help on all occasions. Also after his arrest he went straight to the local brothel, wouldn't agree on a price and left.
  16. The first Robbo show was a win. From what little he has done so far Robbo has been great (The Neeld interview was realy good). He loves the camera and the camera loves him. Gawn in 60 seconds. Priceless.
  17. I've looked several times and can't seem to find them. They advertise that they are available, but are nowhere to be found. Is Bill Gates screwing with my head again?

Anderson and Jawai are no longer in the league, so you can cross them off. Bogut is unlikely to play this season and GSW are even less likely to make the playoffs, another one down. Patty Mills and the Spurs on the other hand look like they are capable of going deep into the playoffs, and may even meet the Lakers in the second round. Maybe you could think of it as a win-win situation? The Lakers have done well to get Sessions. He's been good for them so far. I find the LA Lakers to be a curious one. They must be one of the most recognisable teams in the world, one of the highest followed teams in one of the most iconic cities in the world. But the original team was the Minneapolis Lakers, named after the city of lakes or the state of 1000 lakes (or something like that). Why didn't they change their name to something relevant to LA? Or is it relevant to LA? I always found that a bit funny for some reason. From what I've read on the Irving situation is that he's been assured of a spot in the following Olympics.
  19. On a side note, as it looks like we won't have a second major sponsor heading into the season, does anyone know if the limited edition Reach guernseys will become a little less limited? Are there any plans to sell another batch? I'd really like to get my hands on at least one with Jim's number.
  20. Wasn't speed first produced by the Nazis for military purposes? Presciption drugs are certainly a grey area. I think some prescription drugs, such as certain antidepressants and sleeping pills, permantently change the bodys ability to produce certain vital chemicals and end up being a life long "addictions".
  21. Aww crap, really? Are there any Carlton & Richmond players worthy of cashcow status?
  22. I wonder how many people would have your same convictions if they'd had that same experience. I knew nothing of the dangers of drugs andI was very lucky that I disliked my first experience and never did it again.
  23. Still a few spots left. Does anyone know what the deal is with trades after this round? Should I be concentrating on getting the team right this week? or do I still get to make as many trades as I like next week? Bloody annoying having the games so spread out.
