Another good one. Great stuff. Can't have the 80's without some Def Leppard. Pre and post arm loss. Jack Jack's 80's 1.5 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5SU1epR5_tU

Favourite non-MFC players to watch
Jack Jack replied to Good Times Grimes's topic in Melbourne Demons
It's hard not to be impressed by Gary Ablett. We knew he was good at Geelong, but after his move to the Suns, without the supporting cast he had at the Cats, I think he's shown how great he really is. Luke Hudge is another I like to watch, although he hasn't been out on the park much this season. -
The Heat, or should I say LBJ & Wade, were too good for the Pacers. LBJ attacked Granger and made him largely ineffective after drawing so many fouls. Granger's injured ankle probably didn't help the cause much either. The dynamic duo have monstered the last few games, collectively they've scored 197 of the Heat's 321 points in the last 3. They get a few extra days break to wait and see who the go up against in the conference finals. Boston, 76ers and a few beers before noon is the outlook for Sunday.

That's a remarkably idiotic thing that you just said but you know, the fact that you're wearing glasses, I perceive it as a little less idiotic than I normally would.

Not sure if it's been posted here or in another thread but there's a good article on Gerard Whateley's blog. Obviously Neeld has come in and decided to start from scratch, but the article offers another possible process. I can't really see Neeld changing his ways though.

The Celtics couldn't get it done. They're missing Avery Bradley on the defensive end, not sure if he'll be back this season. That means there's been more pressure on Ray Allen, who's ankle NQR at the moment. They're back in Boston on sunday for game 7. Hopefully the Boston fans can give them the boost they need. Haslem has been suspended for 1 game and Pittman for 3 games. Sounds about right, although the Pattman incident was pretty brutal. Pittman isn't much of a loss to Miami, but Haslem might be, he's had a few good games of late. No game on saturday. I might have to get all my chores done then so I can sit back and relax with a few brewskis and watch sport all day. I can dream can't I?

Just read the article. I don't know why I would have expected any less, but like previous posters have mentioned, there's nothing new. I wonder whether journalists these days are like a majority of rioters/looters/angry mob. They're not sure why they're angry or why they're there, but everyone else is doing it so they should too. Some sort of pack mentality.

I blame Jack Watts for the "Demonland Feelings Poll" thread. All I've had going round in my head today is "Feelings..... nothing more than feelings" and that's the only part of the song that I know!

Those guys are all class. Awsome Aussie band. I'm glad you didn't use his VFL grand final effort. Didn't exactly cover himself in glory on that day. Time for some Enz. Jack Jack's 80's 1.4 [media=]

Pacers got smashed. But as the SVG saying goes "It's only worth one win". There was a few flagrants being thrown around. You'd think some would be worthy of a suspension. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PU6KQP_nHQA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6uPF46n3TM

David Schartz on SEN at 4.20pm today
Jack Jack replied to Norm Smith's Curse's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yes, they're big statements. But I was mainly refering to the weekly team selection. -

Each to their own, we all see things differently. Maybe I'm being overly critical of Neeld because I haven't really seen any big statements from him at the selection table. -
Sorry pantaloons, I was rooting for them, I hope that wasn't the problem. The stats seemed relatively close save for the offensive rebounds. Something like 3 -14 OKC's way. The big boys just weren't doing their job today.

Yes you're right, the players are the only one's who can get their hands on the ball. But if we've got players that aren't putting in the effort, intensity or following instructions then it is a reflection on the coach. The coach holds one of the most important leadership roles in the team. If he's a hard coach that wants a hard team then he needs to make some hard decisions. If a player isn't putting in the effort, drop him. If they're not following instructions, drop him. Neeld has to set a standard for the playing group and is just as responsible for the performances as the players are. -

Fair enough if the discussion is just about the players, they obviously deserve scrutiny. My point maybe better suited to another thread, but you can't absolve the coaches from the players onfield performances. -

But surely the coaches deserve criticism too. They're either failing in communicating their message to the players or they're perpetuating the problem by leaving petulant players in the team. Does Neeld want a hard team without having to make hard decisions? Are the players picking the team? Both the players AND the coaches deserve criticism. -
Oh Metta, whe will you learn. Lakers responded in the 2nd. They were leading 51-50 into the last 30 seconds when this happened. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DhM8Hqc1Y74&feature=player_embedded Nice block, but the push was unnecessary. Maybe a bit harsh but earned him a flagrant, MWP & Kobe not happy with the call, both got technicals. End result OKC drops 4 free throws and heads into the main break up 54-51.
-
Kobe is trying his best to drag the Lakers to a win, but the entire suporting cast needs to lift. Quarter time Lakers 21 points, Kobe 6 for 9 and 15 points, the rest of the team 2 for 12 and 6 points. The guy can't do it alone, the rest of the team needs to lift.

I love these David & Goliath stories. Sticking it to these pompous arrogant money hungry corporations. It looks as though he's done quite well out of the situation.

Haha, hedging your bets, I like it. Someone has to come good for you Macca. Go Spurs. Go Patty (Give him some game time goddamnit!) Edit: Magic have parted ways with their coach SVG & GM Otis. A shake up at Orlando.

The home page (demonland.com) seems to pointing in the wrong direction. It's trying to load index.php (Sorry we couldn't find that) when I think it should be index.html. -
The Lakers really let one slip I think. The Thunder had something like a 12-0 run late in the 4th for a great come from behind win. Back to OKC for the 5th game is only going to make it harder for the Lakers. C'mon Kobe you can do it! Great win by the Heat. Lebron just 1 assist short of a triple double. Scored 40 points and 18 or 19 rebounds. And his partner in crime Wade finally came to the party. I think he was only 1 for 8 in the first half but was a different man in the 2nd half and ended up with 30 odd points. Series is levelled. Interesting times ahead.
