How good are Radiohead? Karma Police is one of the few songs I can still remember how to play on guitar. Awesome tune. I've got a friend in Japan with a Led Zeppelin cover band, Duesenberg. I can't say that I've ever heard them live but their original on youtube ain't too bad. I managed to get to the game and that's what I saw too. Ball use was much better by the Hawks, we seemed to fumble a lot and I thought we dropped a few gettable marks. Hawks work rate was better, they found space and spare men. I also noticed during the warm up there was a midfield drill where there'd be a tap out and then successive hand balls while on the move. During the game I thought we lacked attack on the ball at times and ended up flat footed. Too often I saw we waited for the ball and didn't attack. It was a fairly flat performance in my opinion. BTW someone needs to get a message to Davey to keep his hands out of the oppositions back. He needs to find a better way of dealing with marking contests.

I've posted a Stone Temple Pilots video before, but what can I say, they're fricken awesome. I've recently been trying to get out of the habit of being a fat bastard and STP have got me through a few tough sessions. The first song is from their album Tiny Music. It's probably a fairly underrated album, mainly due to Scott Weiland's drug issues at the time which restricted them from being able to properly promote/tour the album. This song was also the encore to their Melbourne concert last year. The second song is from their Purple album. The album is probably best know for the song Interstate Love Song. I get the feeling that some people are assuming that since he was granted leave that Jurrah just offs and disappears. From what i understand of the Wonna situation the club was in fairly regular contact with him. Now I don't presume to know the exact details but I'd assume that the club would be keeping up contact with Jurrah and his situation. The notion of him being absent for too long or having to dock his pay seems rather ludicrous and somewhat disrespectful to not only Jurrah, but to the club also.

The US is out of control. Just going further and further in debt. Has anyone had a look at the debt clock lately? It should scare the hell out of anyone. Romney and Obama are hopeless. Nice one Franky. Let's put that one down as quasi jazz. I've not listened to a lot of CSN but I have Graham Nash's Songs for Beginners. It's got some great guest appearances, David Crosby, Jerry Garcia and Neil Young to name a few. Military Madness is right up there as one of my favourite songs. I may have to post it on Macca's thread.

I was just looking at some previous years financial reports. It's remarkable how far we've come in a few short years. At the end of '08 our liabilities outweighed our assets by close to $4 million. Now we have net assets of $6 million. That's a $10 million turnaround in 3 years.

It's a bit hard to judge an entity on liabilities alone. We've done extremely well reducing our debt (even though we've recently taken on more with the Bentleigh Club merger) but we've got virtually a non-existent asset base (somewhat larger now with the merger). The real worry by the looks of those figures is Brisbane. If they have another loss this year they may find themselves with negative net assets.

On a side note did anyone notice the hypocrisy of the AFL HQ rearing it's ugly head again? From the Hun It wasn't too long ago that the AFL decided to change the "Judd Rule" to include any third party deals in the salary cap for any player in contract talks. I guess there has to be an exception to every rule?
