  1. I really liked these guys first few albums. This is the song that started it all off for me. Jack Jack 4.1 And this was a big hit for them too.
  2. I'd like to see 'ology up and running again. I've never posted there but enjoy reading it from time to time. It certainly holds a place in the Dees supporter landscape. I'm no good when it comes to IT skills but I'd be happy to donate if it helped getting the place functional again. Maybe someone can start an unmoderated 'ology board here on 'Land in the interim?

I was reading that the Memphis Grizzlies have been sold. I think they've got a contract to stay there for the next 9 years, so I doubt they'll be relocating. Predictions for the upcoming series? I think Miami will finally get there, in 5 games.

To say that Lebron was on fire would be an understatement. His 45-15-5 performance was the first in a final since Wilt Chamberlain in 1964. The Celtics fans obviously appreciated it and rewarded him accordingly with a celebratory beer shower! Bring on Game 7.

Wow, what the hell happened to the Spurs? Does that mean after their incredible 20 odd win stretch that they just lost 4 in a row straight afterwards? Would be kinda funny if the Celtics won. I reckon all hell would break loose in Miami. Trades? New Coach? Bosh will be pushing for a lot more minutes today, I wonder if it will make any difference? Looks like it will be a cracker of a match today.
  6. David King seemed unrepentant on his lil' Ask the Expert: How to fix Blues Not that it matters much anymore, we know he's a fraud. And on top of that the Roos have well and truly taken the focus off us with their CEO quitting today.
  7. I prefer it if the umpires back themselves in with a decision. If the goal umpire was adamant it was touched then so be it. I really dislike unnecessarily stopping play. I think since the third umpire has been brought in to cricket that the umpires defer to it too often and has made them lazy. I'm happy with the call.

Boston are definitely a chance. Wade was off the boil again, Lebron keeps delivering but he can't do it alone. I didn't see the game, Miami must have been on a huge run to get withing 8. How did that happen?
  9. I watched the game with another tragic Dee's supporter and a few other mates. Was so tense in the last quarter I almost couldn't watch it. But what a euphoric feeling it was. I could have coped with a close loss and a four quarter effort, but I'll take the win. Bloody brilliant. Well done Dees!
  10. Jack Jack's 80's 2.0 This guy was voted the greatest artist of all time by Dennis off It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I have no reason to doubt him. This song could almost go into RR's inspirational thread. Jack Jack's 80's 2.1 I think I've got it out of my system for the time being, happy to give it away. We can always revisit at some stage down the track. I like the idea of the themed weeks though, opens it up to other niche genre's.

Rondo was awesome in the last game. But what would it do for his confidence? There's not much more he could do and they still lost? Need more from their big 3. OKC produced the game I was expecting to see a lot earlier. Spurs were a bit ugly though, over 20 turnovers. On the bright side Patty got some minutes?
  13. Flame Trees is one of my all time favourite songs. Love it. I was listening to this song while driving around the other day thinking this could be the theme song for the season (I had MFCSS in full flight). But then I realised I was just focusing solely on the chorus "That's just the way it is, some thing will never change" So I listened to it a few more times and realised there was a much greater meaning to the song, which put things in perspective. Again I caught myself getting enthralled with an NBA match. I could see the battle, what seemed like gladiators going head to head, the cut a thrust of combat. But standing back I could see it for what it's worth, just a game. Anyway, enough of my midweek musings (maybe I should have started this with "Dear Diary"?), bring on the 80's! Jack Jack's 80's 1.6 And this one's alright too. Jack Jack's 80's 1.7 ]
  14. I like the cut of your jib, young fella me lad. I was inspired by Misson's mantra from his article a few weeks back, an Aristotle quote. It made me somewhat more hopeful of the future (I might even go so far as to say it gave me belief in our future).

The Hornets won the draft lottery. MJ would have to be a bit disappointed, for such a terrible season you'd want the reward of No. 1 pick, could be worse I guess, they got the second pick. Washington 3rd, Cleveland 4th, Sacramento 5th. Brooklyn Nets lose their pick, 6th overall, to Portland for the Gerald Wallace trade (It was top 3 protected I think). GSW (Go Bogut) keep their 7th pick. Was traded to Utah but top 7 protected. Just scraped in. Anthony Davis is widely regarded as the most likely no. 1 pick.

My prediction is looking very amateurish (I resemble that!). Happy to be wrong though, Spurs have been awesome (Go Patty, give him some minutes) Draft lottery today. Anyone got the results? When do they get released?

I'm tipping both series in 6 games. I'm hoping the Spurs get through, but I think the OKC will win. Miami over Boston.
  18. Surely you jest! I was actually expecting a punch line but it never came.
  19. Another good doco last week on Sunday Best. American Movie follows a, for want of a better word, eccentric amateur movie maker. The two main characters are larger than life, at times I wondered if it was truly a doco and not some cleverly scripted movie. They also reminded me of Jay & Silent Bob to some degree. Worth a watch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7N2Jz1en4w&feature=related

Boston got through in one hell of an ugly game. One of those games where defense set the tone. Boston should be a good match up for the Heat (hopefully). A few commentators are calling it a bye for the Heat, but Boston are a proud team, they're gonna put up a fight. Garnett's legs are starting to feel it. Had one of those embarrassing moments where he realised he couldn't quite get up for the dunk, didn't adjust in time and missed the hoop. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MbQINC8E3Kw&feature=related
  21. That article is a pissah. I like this part in particular.
  22. It's okay, I figured out how to fix it myself. I cleared the cache and everything seems to be working fine...........
  23. There's an age or some other restriction isn't there? Otherwise Magner would have been a certainty in round 1.
  24. I think we're all aware of you views RR. You're obviously a man of your convictions and that is to be admired. Neeld has done a few good things so far but it hasn't exactly been a convincing journey so far. He is yet to show us any concrete evidence that he's a good coach. Neeld's got a 3 year contract so we've really got no other option but to back him in. I hope he's our man, I'll give him more time, but my mind is not yet made up. It's interesting that your using Damian Hardwick as a comparison. He realised early on that the gameplan wasn't working, will Neeld make any changes? Starting Over
