WELCOME BACK TO DEMONLAND - DANNY HUGHES
Freak replied to Pinball Wizard's topic in Melbourne Demons
dunno who you have been watching. Danny Hughes has great skills and I've always thought he was stiff to get delisted. -
its been 2 weeks since the draft and i still havent seen any pictures of our draftees. Is there any pics of our draftees at training? I still havent seen Jetta, Bennell or Strauss in their demons gear or anything. bennell has 1 pic of him on the entire internet! any others? dunno about other demonlanders but its always good to see new draftees in the red and blue colours. but other than watts, the coverage of bennell and jetta and even strauss has been pretty pathetic. im not interested in seeing them in pics if they arent wearing red and blue, ive seen all the ones on google. so if anyone has gone to training, can they please upload some pics!!!

thanks dexter. i would love a picture of cale morton to see how he looks now..if any different
-
yeh am i the only one who thinks that he wrote this himself.lol
-
im no graphic designer but for some reason i like the look of fire flames in the logo..obviously like the demon is in hell
-
i'll give goose some credit for admitting he was wrong about Naitanui, however whether we were 'close' or not to picking him is irrelevant as you said that he was a 'certainty'. oh well, better luck next time
-
lol. see how he didnt manage to answer how he was wrong about naitanui.
-
just like Naitanui will be a demon..care to explain that one goose?
-
did you not see the players we took in the national draft, clearly we are only picking up players that can kick.
-
lol. nah i was off twice..and only played 4 or 5 minutes in the last quarter. its all good tho! happy to be an impact player, TJ style.
-
i had a blast. good sunburnt on the arms but thats now turning into tan. Kicked 2.1 which was better than my 1 goal 6 from another time. My TOG was limited though. would have only been about 60%..might have to do a CJ

probably the best article ive read in quite some time. one thing tho, riewoldt is not an 'attractive' guy as Thomas describes. he is up there with peverill and ling in my books. anyway, who am i to judge. thanks for the article

just got home from a big night out. i am pretty smashed. put me down for a few behinds tomorrow

guys, stop flattering ourselves. we need good players, end of story. if these players happen to be midfielders then so be it.
-
yes and no. alot of the draftees that are picked up in the PSD were overlooked in the national draft solely due to being lazy and having a bad attitude or other problems like alcohol etc..talent wise, alot of them would be considered good quality players.
-
he isnt really that quick high tower, or evasive. he just goes hard at the footy, and at the man, and has pretty good skills. he is pretty quick yes but not that i've even checked the draft camp results but i doubt jetta got in the top 10 for any of the tests. happy to be corrected.
-
thats why west coast are annoyed. they obviously thought that we would not pick up a couple of western australians considering we are strapped for cash.
-
i dont really know that much about this crop yet..but Tom scully looks like one of the best midfielders i've seen at his age. I think he probably would have gone pick 3 in this years draft, before Hill and Hartlett if he was eligible. A good thing to note is that because Butcher and Scully are both VIctorian, WCE might be deterred to take 2 Victorians (if they qualify for a priority pick). And thus, may take a Western Australian like Lucas.
-
not a chance in hell. he cant kick. as you should be able to tell by the players we drafted this year, we simply dont want anyone that cant kick

you are all very close to the mark...especially rpfc. Maric is ideal for the half forward line. that way he can use his footskills to good use both further up the ground as well as on goal. Newton is my choice over Miller at the key forward position and unfortunately I don't think Sylvia will get a gig in the starting forward 6. And for those that are suggesting that Martin or Garland will be used up forward u need to up the medication. They are obviously forgetting how long it took to find decent backmen. Wonaeamirri is actually better used on the half forward line than in a pocket because he does present to the ball very well, almost tredrea-like without the frame and stature. Dunn is a good 3rd tall and should never have been moved from there. When he was there he averaged more than a goal a game which is better than most people so moving him was silly. I predict robbo to be back. HF: Maric Newton Wonaeamirri FF: Dunn Watts Robbo
