the priority pick would make my year. its our last chance for decent picks before gold coast comes in. theres no point in winning more than 4 games. if we do, i'll be so [censored] off
-
disposal efficiency of 57% really sums him up. For someone that is under no real pressure with his kicks as he is an outside receiver its nothing short of pathetic.
-
haha..i'm not the thread starter. Leniency needs to be extended to those that don't start the thread.
-
he should be playing senior footy, but not for an AFL listed club. his kicking is below vfl standard.
-
YM, cale morton has a worse kick than bruce. enough said.
-
Can you please learn english?
-
disregard the last post. what utter rubbish. sylvia and mclean are good kicks too. The reason is because of 'versatility' at the draft table. We have used high draft picks on players like Morton and Bate that are versatile. all it means is that they are a jack of all trades, but a master of none..so are basically average no matter where they go.

so annoying reading this thread. how many times do i need to say things before people realise that i'm right. I've mentioned this since day 1. and it was only last week i made a post saying Dunn should always have been a permanent forward. I'm like weeks, months or even years ahead of you i.e Bell,(awareness) Miller (skills), Dunn(in forward line), Bate(kicking), Morton(kicking). Geez, the list goes on

hey guys. watts had 15kicks 5 marks, 7 marks and 2 goals.
-
butcher is the new key forward prototype. 196cm, and potentially still growing. he is skinny, but is stupidly brave in terms of going back with the flight of the ball etc. He can pluck the footy with one hand like a loaf of bread as jarred brennan does and he is an okay set shot. not great but good.
-
valenti only had like 11 touches..no way was he in the best. maric was good but xavier clarke chopped us with 34 possesions
-
ummm. u just shot urself in the foot. judd despite being several centimetres shorter is several kilograms heavier. Completely different body shapes
-
Tom Scully Will be the number 1 draft pick. Had 34 classy touches in the first round of the TAC cup. He'll be with us next year
-
is that the guy that coached Vic Metro?
-
there's no way he can hold down a key position at 193cm, 86kg. He is only 82kg at the moment. Can't believe he has only put on 4kg in 2 pre-seasons..wtf
-
ummm no. if jack watts was the best player in the draft then he would already be playing. Daniel Rich would currently be the best player. Just because your the number 1 pick doesnt mean your the best player at the time of being drafted. in fact, thats rarely the case. Was Kruezer, in his first year, the best player of his draft? No, Palmer was. Was Gibbs, in his first year, the best player in his draft? No, Selwood was Converselly, Deledio had a better first year than Franklin (pick 5) but after a few years, Franklin is considered the better player. Players arent picked up on how good they are going to be straight away necessarily, its how good they will be in about 5 years.
-
he is NOT the best teenager in the country. Just because you are the number 1 pick doesn't mean you are the best in the country. it solely means that you are deemed more likely of being the best in about 5 or 6 years.
-
by picking up the likes of strauss, watts and blease its pretty obvious that we need people that can kick the footy
-
yeh morton kicked a nice goal which i did cheer ...but he also sprayed several too. what was with petterd though. he LITERALLY didnt touch the ball or getting a single stat after half time whats up with that? you'd think bailey would have moved him into the midfield or somewhere to get him involved. thats what i would have done anyway.
-
jurrah is the odd one out of those 3. jurrah was not considered to be in the top 80 odd players for his age so the chances are that he will be a dud. just being realistic
-
sort of agree with rhino richards. but at the end of the day, mclean is one of our only midfielders that can kick straight. our 2nd half showed how cr@p our foot skills are. Mclean could be dropped but if so then so should Morton, Jetta, Bennell and Cheney who are all missed targets time and time again. I cant wait until Watts, Maric, Blease and Strauss come in and hit a friggen target!
-
No-one can justify dropping players if they aren't dropping Bennell and Jetta too. THey were usuless. Here are a few 3 worders Jones-Had pathetic awareness Cheney- a shocking kick Miller- Surprisingly pretty good Frawley- A solid performance Moloney- Our best midfielder (mostly because he can hit a bloody target) Davey - missed many tackles Morton- Hesitant as always Rivers- still best defender Martin- is always good (should never have been dropped)
-
each to their own. both cant kick but Frawley plays key position which is more important. I think on paper; our team for the future is looking quite good. FB: Cheney Garland Frawley HB: Strauss Rivers Petterd C: Blease Mclean Morton HF: Wonaeamirri Watts Sylvia FF: Maric ? S.Martin Foll: Spencer, Jones, ? Int: Buckley, Bate, Dunn, Grimes Gee, if only those question marks represented Butcher and Scully. I think Scully would have gone number 1 in last years national draft. Best handballer ive seen. A quicker version of Simon Black basically.

watts, strauss, blease, mclean, frawley, petterd, morton, martin, garland, cheney, grimes and maric. i'm not sure what the deal is with contracts etc. but these are my 12 most important players for our club because they are our future.
-
who cares if they do poach watts. he wont want to leave anyway
