  1. Because unlike Roos, Goodwin is yet to establish himself as a coach and will want to try and forge the best reputation he can. Goodwin's heart will be 100% in it, i doubt Roos' ever was and will be for the rest of his coaching tenure.
  2. Of course Roos needs to get his head out of his ar$e and start to take some responsibility for the team. But the team also need to take responsibility for their own actions. I apportion 99% of today's performance to the team
  3. It's about bl@@dy time that Misson faces some well deserved scrutiny
  4. No. Don't express it here. Send it straight to the club. They're the one's who need to hear it.
  5. Good to see the captain standing up today after our shocking loss last week!
  6. It's that type of thinking that has kept us where we have been for nearly a decade.
  7. This is unbelievable. Don't blame the umps, don't blame the coaches. This is clearly a playing group problem.
  8. He looks a bit like his old man (minus the long curly locks)
  9. I don't have an issue with him telling the club he wants out, in fact i think it's very honest of him and that he did the right thing there. What i don't like is how he has handled himself on the field for the majority of the season. Most of the time he has looked like he doesn't give a flying f@#k, which i think is a very poor attitude to have. A lot like when Jack Riewoldt really sooks it up. Where does their sense on entitlement come from?
  10. Maybe a nibble at Plowman, but imo he's just a poor version of Kolodjashnij. If Garland were to leave i'd maybe try and target him as a replacement.
  11. For me he's just too lackadaisical/lethargic.
  12. He's on the edge of the list no doubt, but he wouldn't be the first that i'd let go. Quite a few to get the chop before him.
  13. This is simply what must happen. Such an important matter cannot be left up to politicians. They may be elected by the Australian people, but very few truly represent them. If you are heterosexual you are allowed to marry, yet if you are homosexual you are not. That's discrimination no matter how you look at it. As stated earlier, if you are not gay how would same-sex legislation affect you? It wouldn't. Those who disagree with the notion of gay marriage are somewhat hypocritical. Given the exact same freedoms that allow/entitle them the right to have such views is the rights they are denying other people.
  14. 28.5k at a Friday night game in Melbourne, Hawks have been marching towards a top 2 spot and that's the amount of their ferals that turn up? They're meant to have 73,000 members, lol please. How many of those supposed 73,000 are made up of 3-game,Tasmanian and pet memberships? I'm guessing at least a 1/3 and i'm being generous.
  15. He does, i'd even say we need more of his type than we do Redden. Just high-lighting the differences between the 2.
  16. The ball had clearly gone through for a behind, so out of play, Hodge doesn't attempt to avoid contact but actually goes looking for it (a drastic change in direction with his hips) so it has to be classified as intentional, he hits him high and because Wingard's head also hits the behind post the impact is either high/severe. This all means that Hodge should be sent straight to the tribunal with no chance of a guilty plea. In fact his poor record should add points to his loading. Minimum 3 but should get 4 because that's a very bad look for the game (Wingard is also very lucky that he doesn't seem to have suffered much damage - could've been a hell of a lot worse). I'd also double the sentence, just because Dorks fans are pr!ck$
  17. Mackay is more a wingman with pace, whereas Redden isn't overly quick and loves to be in the thick of it.
  18. It's amazing how the previous year's #1 pick just about automatically becomes less valuable than the following year's actual pick itself! i.e - Paddy McCartin will have less trade value than the #1 pick this year.
  19. I wouldn't mind extending his contract for at least another year with an eye to him becoming an assistant/development coach, similar to how Jnr Mac did it up at GWS. He would be able to provide some on-field coaching direction as well, which wouldn't be a bad thing either.
  20. Agree, i'd rather keep Cross on for another 2 years than bring in Adcock.
  21. It would raise legitimate question of if we truly have improved from last year. A massive loss to the Dogs followed by a loss to the wooden spooners would rightly put the spotlight on both the playing group and the delusional coaches from thinking we are more advanced than where we were at the start of the year.
  22. Fitz and Spencil will never be more than cover depth. It's just their luck that we only have an up and come-er and a decent ruck on his last legs. If we were able to bring in a decent/serviceable ruck with some experience (or even the likes of a Smith/Gorringe from GC), i wouldn't hesitate in giving both the flick.
