  1. Potential delistings/trades for me currently stands at 7 (Dawes, Newton, Garland, JKH, Grimes, M. Jones & Terlich). I would have Dunn here too, but he is still reliable back-up as a KPD, more-so than Garland. Jones & Terlich (unfortunately for them) would be apart of the mandatory 3 delistings, along with Michie. I'd keep/promote White, Wagner and King on the RL. That leaves Grimes, JKH, Garland, Newton & Dawes needing to find new clubs, otherwise they too could be delisted. We obviously won't delist all of them, some may go in trades, some will get the cut, other's will luckily stay on the list.
  2. Referring to this DD? I read it more as a suggestion, not that these were our #1 targets (though they should be - May moreso than Hurley)
  3. Those wondering if we have too many inside mids/not enough outside run, Prestia can run all day, no he isn't the quickest, but he isn't slow either. Plus the likes of Vince and Jones aren't going to be around forever, the need to continually regenerate the engine room is very important. As already stated, quality is quality. we are yet in the picture to start picking and choosing, ala Hawthorn, for specific ready made replacements. We still need to just get quality on to the list, the worst it would do is create even greater depth. The only thing needing to be considered is at what cost do you try and bring in quality.
  4. I'm not too concerned with Prestia's stats,as everyone knows when he is fit, he is a great player. I'm more concerned with his knee issues and if he is over them. Maybe we've told Prestia to seek out Richmond's medical team, and if he gets the all clear from them we make a move (can be the only reason why Tiger's think they are a chance!)
  5. Agree SF. Essendrug are notoriously delusional when it comes to trying to trade with them. Would only go after Hurley if he classifies as some form of free agent (RFA/DFA). Otherwise, would rather we invest our time in potential trades we have a genuine chance of completing, as opposed to stuffing around with Dodoro (Saints and Jake Carlisle just took too long).
  6. Are you really surprised though? These are the same people who are slowly destroying our once great game. Little surprise that they'd ruin the women's league even before it's off the ground.
  7. More importantly, he is only a kid and has the majority of his life ahead of him.
  8. I'd be worrying about securing our own, before we try to target the likes of Prestia or Hurley.
  9. I know, every time i think about it, i feel like i need a shower. Would Hurley truly be worth it?
  10. There's little point trying Dawes down back, as he should be off the list come years' end. Freeing up a bit of cap space too.
  11. Well both he and Hogan love to have a bit of a sook to the umpires i've noticed. They need to get it out of their games and earn their free kicks.
  12. Agree, don't give Essendrug an inch. Let alone even one of our scraps that will be delisted at the end of the year.
  13. Probably because of the pearler he gave Murphy about Boyd last year!
  14. And well they should circle him. He's a quality small backman. Good luck trying to pry him free though, he loves the place.
  15. McDonald reminds me of a young Nathan Jones, in that when there is space in front of him so he can run forward and be direct, he is able to make the right call. But when he has to move laterally, he falls in a heap and any logical play goes out the window,
  16. Give it a week or 2, and before you know it, they'll start talking about how Viney comes out of contract at the end of 2020 and we will need to sign him up pronto.
  17. Yes, it is his natural goal kicking routine, change it too much and it will cause more questions than answers
  18. I agree RTG. He just hasn't shown the hunger for the contest this year. I want him to be desperate and demanding. He has stalled, but what do you expect having him play on a HBF. I'd have him on a wing at least, but we still need his good ball use out of the back-line. Petracca had some bad turn-overs today, but once he gets used to the pace, his kicking will become an absolute weapon. He can kick it a long way and at speed, pile driver-type penetration. We were simply outplayed by a better team today. The umpires didn't make too many mistakes awarding free kicks, it was their lack of paying them that influenced the game (but in no way did they cost us the game).
  19. We were really poor defensively as a team today. Sure the back-line wasn't great, but the midfield didn't help their cause, allowing too many easy entries into the defensive 50. The zone defense just doesn't seem to be working, we guard space, but seemingly, in the wrong places. We are way too handball happy, trying to find a loose player. Our preference to handball resulted in handing off to a player with more pressure on them than the one giving it. Finally, scoreboard pressure if what matters most. We missed many shots on goal today that AFL players' should be kicking. Hogan was a main culprit, but not the only one. Maybe Hogan is too proud, as his attitude towards Ox during the week may indicate, but he needs to address his kicking. Sure he kicked 7.1 a couple of weeks ago, but he needs to improve his accuracy. (We can't tinker with his approach too much, or we will just screw him up too much - Franklin still goes out on an arch, but has found something that works for him. I don't mind his stutter approach, as it is his natural rhythm, but he needs to correct the line he is aiming towards after the shuffling, as he is aiming too far to the right).
  20. Campbell leading Gawn a merry dance. Hasn't been his day today Gawn, he talks of trying to become the #1 ruckman, let's see if he wants to dig deep, even when it's not his day
  21. More like Jesse Casboult.................. Although Levi has vice-like hands, Jesse doesn't.
  22. That'd be right, we have scored 4 behinds, 3 very gettable goals, then they turn around and kick one. If Hogan wants to act like a primadonna, he's got to kick the goals. Jesse might not like it, but Schwartz was right. He needs to fix his kicking pronto. Your move Jesse.
  23. we have been way too handball again today, plus the Dogs just seem to have numbers everywhere around the ball, then a tonne of space for their players' inside 50. Our mids need to lift big time, as their ease of entry is really hurting our already underwhelming defence.
