  1. Thanks for the well wishes Ash. Don’t be a stranger! Go Dees!
  2. I want to win at any cost and I don’t care if players are suspended next year. This could be our only chance for another few decades, so we need to win no matter what. If they go after Max or anyone else physically, then we go after them when the opportunity is there. If Viney has a chance to tackle someone big, then I want them buried halfway to China and stretchered off the ground. No one but us bitter Demons supporters remember Essendon as thugs in 2000. They are remembered as winners, big winners. It’s our turn to be winners, whatever the cost. Bury them Dees.
  3. I posted the following in the Brownlow thread already. There absolutely should be an award to recognize defenders. “There needs to be an award for defenders. Brownlow is for midfielders. Coleman is for forwards. Need a defenders award too. I would take the impact of May or Lever over most of the top 20 in the Brownlow last night! Teams literally plan their match around those two, such is their influence!”.
  4. The voting is stuffed, but we already knew that. Walsh is a good young player, but the fact he equaled peak Judd in votes last night shows how out of whack it is. Same for that many players over 20 votes. There’s no way that many players are best on ground in that many matches. Not even close. Salem had 1 vote the halfway point. He was sitting top 10 in the coaches votes at that stage. Coaches rated him top 10 in the league, umpires didn’t rate him in the top 50+. There needs to be an award for defenders. Brownlow is for midfielders. Coleman is for forwards. Need a defenders award too. I would take the impact of May or Lever over most of the top 20 in the Brownlow last night! Teams literally plan their match around those two, such is their influence! The Brownlow is not the best player anymore. Who do you trust, the umpires or the coaches? Answer is obvious. Let’s hope the umpires don’t hand the Dogs the flash this weekend!
  5. Well done to Wines. He had a good year and always fights hard for the footy. The voting was a bit stuffed tonight as always. The umpires can’t seem to get any decisions right it seems!
  6. Hopefully that’s because they didn’t like being embarrassed and bullied by our boys this year!
  7. Wines has it
  8. Nibbler. Consistently brings the effort and has had a few very good games late this year. Reckon he’ll play his role and kick 2-3 goals.
  9. In the lead up to a grand final, club asks players loosely to not be out late at night acting like idiots when the rest of the country is locked inside. How is that a story? Hahaha
  10. Yep. Trac has kicked 27 goals for the year, leads the league for score assists, and is the forward mid having the most impact on the scoreboard. I think he’s a big chance, had a better year than last year on stats and team has won many more games. I chucked some cash on him a while back so hopefully I’m right!
  11. Odie is traditionally a male name.
  12. I will struggle to be conscious by the time the match starts. I’ll need the mrs to make sure my airways aren’t blocked when I face plant at some point. Night matches might look pretty, but they’re [censored] for your nerves! I’ll be crying at the end regardless of the result I think 😳
  13. Congratulations to the Jones’. Must’ve been an incredibly hard time for both Nathan and Jerri recently. Just goes to show how resilient they both are. If you want a role model for perseverance and resilience, look no further than these two.
  14. Don’t really get that feeling from that, but she’d have every right to feel unhappy with the club given how Nathan’s career ended there after all he put up with. Congrats to the Jones’!
  15. If we can’t get anything decent for him, then keep him. He’s decent depth at worst and won’t command a big salary. Still has potential at 24 to develop further and play an important role in future seeing as our other KPFs are all nearing the end of their careers.
  16. Awesome he made it back for the birth. Congratulations Nathan on growing your beautiful family. Hopefully Mum and newborns are in good health. So glad he made it back to be with his family. Would’ve sucked big time if he’d waited a few more days and missed both the birth and playing in the grand final!
  17. Pointless medal. If it’s not done on averages, then anyone who plays less matches is disadvantaged. Norm Smith is the only finals medal that counts. Reckon Trac is gonna win that!
  18. Being that Barrassi and Daniher aren’t over there in WA, and Lyon was granted an exemption, it’ll probably be Gaz.
  19. They can also count their covid cases!
  20. Hunt would be an ideal sub IMO. Was going along very nicely in the backline before injury. Brings the pace, as well as both defensive and offensive intent. Can play back, forward or wing if needed.
  21. Disease riddled filth dragging the whole state into lockdown. I only know one Bulldogs supporter to be fair, guy from an old workplace. Friendly enough, but an absolute train wreck of a person. Amazed he’s still employed, sent home from work for being drunk at one stage a few years ago. This is an office job too, so legit basket case type stuff. Old work friend sent me a screenshot of a recent post the bloke made on Facebook about covid being a government hoax to take control of us and inject us with tracking beacons etc. He sums up the Bulldogs for me. My most hated team in the league by some way. Disgusting.
  22. Huge signing, one of the key pillars that’s built is to where we are. Awesome stuff!
  23. Wasn’t sure it was the right call having someone so inexperienced in the side ahead of proven players like Hibberd come finals time, but Bowey has proved himself to be capable already at such a young age. Well done to the recruiters for nailing this pick and well done to the club and Jake for his rapid development this year in challenging circumstances. Hopefully Bailey Laurie is of similar quality when he breaks into the team next year!
  24. Spargo to Daniel for mine. ANB is important further up the ground as a link up player with his hard running. Fritta too important as a target and goal scoring option. Spargo doesn’t get many touches, but he does make the most of them around goal. He’s also comfortable moving further up the ground and tackles hard when he gets the chance. Get him to put the clamps on Daniel and then take his opportunities if they arise.
  25. This is seriously embarrassing effort from Port. They’ve had a free ride not having to leave home for over a month, while all the other clubs have had to travel and quarantine for finals. Dogs weren’t even allowed to train in Adelaide! Hinkley should get the sack for this. He’s been there a decade and it’s been a decade of almosts. What an embarrassing performance tonight by the power.
