  1. Sorry to disappoint, Nicho with main group. Wasn't clear in my post sorry, it was main group doing end to end stuff while Casey group on rugby oval
  2. Also got down to training, about where our correspondent was leaving, or just before. With the Casey players on the rugby field, the team practiced kick outs and clearing from deep in defence. Moved the ball well, end to end with out the opposition touching the ball except when Nicho hit one of them in the chest. That said, the opposition was 2 or 3 of the coaches, so there was no pressure at all. They did various other drills, things we have done before. I noticed Neeld is definitely doing things differently, having probably been to over 10 sessions this year, and found him to be more involved and addressing groups more than I have seen in probably the rest of the sessions combined
  3. Dare I say, a new coach... Seriously, don't know if I want to see any of the game. Time to check Casey's fixture
  4. Must have been a real hard knock to make Dunn go down..... The guy has form
  5. Would be great insurance if Hogan gets injured.
  6. Give GCS (and their puppet masters) the middle finger, get Prestia with the first pick in the PSD, which we will probably have then jump for joy!
  7. Good question. I have no idea if the bye is taken into account or not.
  8. Not necessarily, it's why they put him one the LTI list last week. He's out for another 7
  9. So those 'in the know' have already decided for us what changes will be made to the board already??
  10. Wonderful, a new thread on a topic we haven't discussed
  11. He has only played 3 games so far this year and while I have been impressed with what I have seen and was hoping he would play last week, I can understand and agree with not playing him as it was effectively a choice between him and Max. If later in the season Jamar is injured or out of form, I would love to see Max as the first ruck and Fitzy as his back up playing forward.
  12. I am expecting Magner to be upgraded today and to play against Richmond, I know he is hopeful
  13. Can't see Fitzy playing CHB, but can see him having a decent career, hopefully with us. He has had an interrupted preseason so has been left at Casey to get his match fitness up - I find it hard to believe either Gawn or Fitzy have the match fitness to play a full game as number 1 ruck due to their preseasons, so ATM it's Fitzy or Gawn, Gawn having played more games this year and has done well in the seniors, so Fitzy just needs to keep working and continuing to do well at Casey. From the Casey games I have seen, I thought his field kicking has been good, am nervous about his set shots but he has been accurate in the two games I have seen him play. Fitzy is a forward and second ruck IMO and as such I worry about where he will fit in with Hogan, Clark, Dawes and at times Howe and Watts forward, so while I think he will have a decent AFL career, I fear that it won't be with us.
  14. Good on him for saying it as it is. If it gets noses out of joints, tough. "That sort of effort shouldn't need to be coached, and the fact that this week it does need to be coached is an indictment of the playing group" Well said Chris. For the morons calling this piece fluff, thank for reminding me of why I ignore you!
  15. I would be happier if there were major changes in the board (starting with the president) before the end of the year. But what would I know, I sit in the cheap seats...
  16. The sooner someone with the credentials gets together a ticket the better. If there was a good team, I'd be out there at every game collecting signatures from members for an EGM.
  17. Maybe if we did tackling drills at more than 70% in training we might stick them in a game. I've seen a number of tackling drills at training this year and teaching techniques at training this year, but struggle to recall many occasions where they were really going at it 100%, even less so (if any) during match simulations. As I said after training last week, I would prefer to risk injuries and have training done in match like conditions than the current way.
  18. Obviously said a hell of a lot more in the presser than he said to the team at half time. Couldn't believe how early we were on the ground for the second half.
  19. Easily the dirtiest act of the year (go to Huns website, footage there). Will be surprised if he gets away with less than 4.<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/UeDmsaLhOSM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  20. Davey was very good in the first half against Port last week. Rodan had a good second half. Between them they had a very good game....
  21. I know it's not going to happen as he has been good so far this year, but I would be dropping Terlich along with Nicho this week (sorry if this has been covered). Last week, both of them pulled up short of marking contests, Terlich in the 3rd, not certain what quarter Nichos was, but both had the chance to cut of a ball from a carlscum lead and probably get a free as they would have been cannoned into from behind. They stopped and watched the contest. These habits must be eradicated from the word go if we are ever to be the toughest team to play against.
  22. Unfortunately didn't see Barry, wasn't out there today and I haven't seen him play at Casey yet, was in development league and heard he did well. From what I saw in the preseason, I am a fan and believe he will be a good player for us in the future. Was hoping he would get some game time this year, but doubt it now.
  23. Surprised Magner isn't being promoted, has been very good at Caey for last two weeks and sure he has his limitations but deserves another crack IMO
