  1. A bigger and more telling stat are where our 2nd and 3rd best for clearances rank
  2. FFS, we'll be playing the Suns, would have thought it would be one of the best 2 teams to give a young player his first game....
  3. If he is, he'd be pushing for senior selection, thought he was pretty good last week
  4. Where did I say he would be a better player in a good team? Do tell....
  5. Garland is a very good player who has, along with Chip and a few others, had to try hold up a defence that has been hammered week after week due to a midfield that has not been very competitive. Have always shaken my head in disbelief at the amount of trash he has copped here. In a good team, he would be a valuable asset (not to say I don't consider him valuable in our team!)
  6. Look forward to this game, hoping to get there tomorrow.
  7. Agree with a lot you say, earlier post was unfair on coaches, thought Neeld more involved than many other sessions I have seen. But I thought our skill were terrible, have been to training at least half a dozen times this year and to me, last Thursday was the worst by a long way. I normally leave training feeling like things are not as bad as most here seem to believe, last week I left feeling baffled as I had expected so much more but instead got what was IMO a very sloppy performance skill wise.
  8. It was terrible wasn't it. Went along expecting a good session after the last quarter against GWS and on phone leaving said to the old man on phone that we'd be belted if we played in Brissie the way we trained. Didn't write a report as I had absolutely nothing good to say. Haven't been able to get down there this week.
  9. I feel for us supporters that have to pay to watch us!
  10. Not sure how you can take anything that I have said as demanding in the smallest possible way!
  11. Have voted for Paul Roos, but I have a gut feeling that Nathan Bassett will be the next big thing in coaching and when he gets a chance, suspect many other team will regret not hiring him. We misjudged Nathan badly once, will we again??
  12. You are probably right, but more so, it looks like he isn't a big user of twitter, but I hope he gets a proper invite to join the volunteers. Start small David, it would be great if he came on a Monday or Tuesday evening, it could help get a few more members and it would really gee up the volunteers whose jobs are getting harder as the season goes on to have a club champion like David come and help out.
  13. Funny with Jones, it wasn't so long ago that people on the boards were ridiculing both his disposal and decision making. What a difference some more experience and maturity have made
  14. Well picked up, a few in the crowd on the fence were screaming at Fitzy to shepherd. Was a disappointing bit of play from a guy who otherwise had a good game
  15. Cheers for that, didn't realise you worked for the recruiting department.
  16. I think Jack Grimes has been very good this year. As for Trenners, i believe the captaincy may have weighed him down a bit, but not nearly as much as missing the bulk of the last two preseasons.
  17. Think you may find it was more to do with issues with Daniher. Am not 100% about that, but there are people here who could tell the story if they want.
  18. God help us. If this is the sort of defeatist rubbish our coach is going to try spoon feed us week after week, he may as well resign now as it sounds like he has given up!
  19. Lets see Brent play a game like that against a good side and then I'll be upset the big sook was allowed to leave.
  20. Toumpas is not just an outside runner. He could easily also be classified as inside. He will go and get his own ball just as quickly as he will break, receive the ball and use it cleanly.
  21. Toumpas impressed, not so much his game - though he has silky skills - but the way he got pummelled three times in the last quarter, he was hurt, but got up, got into it and continued to put himself in the firing line. The kid will be a gem mark my words.
  22. 2 very good goals against the run of play keeping it even, Willie belted us that quarter
  23. Just a gag, not actually aimed at you, but a regular poster will have a chuckle when he sees it
