They have to pull it together and show something. Spoke to quite a few lapsed members tonight who said they will join again once they start to see something on the field.

Interesting timing. would have thought he'd have enough on his plate to find the time to ge a sleeve. Would imagine they take a long time. That said, if he had it done over summer when he wasnt under the pump the WGAF.

G. LYON - FOOTY CLASSIFIED
Rod Grinter Riot Squad replied to The Song Formerly Known As's topic in Melbourne Demons
you missed Eddie and Brayshaw (Eddie was CEO of 9 based in Sydney yet continued as president). Forget about Lyon, he is only interested in himself. We need a new leadership group, but Schwabs saviour has no desire or place to be in it IMO. -
Finally, some attention on our biggest under performer

Amazing it has taken this long. Started a thread highly critical of Col some 3-5 years ago, critical of many aspects of his game, most notably lack of gut running and second and third efforts here or on 'ology. Got crucified by the natives with few supporting my case -
God you are a [censored]We don't need a new thread every time someone writes an article that backs up your Johnny come lately view of Schwab

It pains me to completely agree with Caro (and Rangey) but I honestly believe for us to move forward as one, then Cameron has to move on. Till then, everything else is just shuffling deck chairs -

Thought Schwab got off remarkably lightly, each time it looked like they would focus on Smooth the discussion moved elsewhere -
A CLUB IN CRISIS ... THE AFL MUST STEP IN
Rod Grinter Riot Squad replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
Then make one change. We tried the coach, problem remains. One of main reasons for Baileys issues was Schwab. Novel idea, remove the person who was (and I believe still is) the problem -
Actually we have over 30,000 members

Then I'm guessing you are Peter, Dave here - managed to pull 5 renewals that I was pretty pleased with. First time there tonight and really enjoyed it. I'm fiercely critical of many of the goings on with the club and will remain so, but felt great to be able to contribute a little. -
A CLUB IN CRISIS ... THE AFL MUST STEP IN

Plus Jimmy stuffed up big time in hiring Schwab and then reversing his decision at the time of 186 (thanks Lyon). Many people were critical of this decision -
Except change needs to happen from the top.Don has passed the buck, quite gutlessly too.

Then why does he attend the players Leadership group meetings? -

What you describe is what I thought the Andrews report was doing. The report that the admin obviously didn't like so they locked it away and made sure we never found out its contents -
Again, can people please stop saying Schwab is not involved in the football side of things. Above is what he said yesterday
-
As long as there is internal stability, everything will be alright. We might just screw the coach, but our mates in admin will be protected..... again! Move along, nothing to see
-
As for Schwab now staying out of football department. On radio today: I go to some or the leadership group meetings just to see what happens. "Just to see what happens"..... Yeah right.
-
If Schwab had any decency he would resign. He doesn't and he won't

Our trouble starts at the top. CEO mUST gO

Jack, given an injury free run will be a star. As it is he is underdone and should have at least another run at Casey (hell, even Hodge fronted up for Box Hill). Jack will most likely have an average game and even more likely will be crucified by the peanut gallery.

And I lost 83 likes for my one post that went through my criticisms of Schwab step by step.... -
