  1. Gold (and Brown ) As to Hogans no show on paraphernalia, might just be sensible caution. No money wasted if goes, none if stays.
  2. All it says is..... he's LOOKING. All coaches 'look'
  3. Have nothing whatsoever other than the observation of last year to run with here but the club became very inventive at creating picks where there were none. Much harder this year but I suspect 3 or 4 names will leave having added a little to the bank in terms of trade currency. This will be run through the club's Alchemy dept and we'll end up with probably one shot at a decent import. That might have to be our lot this year....that a a few Smokies perhaps..
  4. tram 109 stop 127 In your dressed down camouflage and assuming you will travel to Spencer Street; then pop across road and catch the Port Melbourne tram. There is a stop assigned for the oval. Should not trouble one such as yourself too much !!
  5. welcome.... like the nic btw Agree with most of that but would temper the enthusiasm with this caveat. We need more class in the midfield. We have semblances of good players , most of the time but often the games seem like stitched together cameos at times. There indeed lies the possibility that more games, better tanks and continued development via the coaching will provide some of this desperately needed class. If however we could get one off the shlef from somewhere it would make a considerable difference.
  6. some confusion creeps in when some think of private schools. In Melbourne , other than the Catholic Schools ( like St Bedes ) there are two main camps AGS , Associated Grammar Schools and APS Associated Public Schools All charge $$$$$ Some former AGS schools are now APS ( Bit like part of Chaddy is now East Malvern if yo get my drift !! )
  7. Shades of Money Ball. But that's not all bad .
  8. and yet supposedly Freo and dees in talks ......just in case ??
  9. H , who I like as a footy player is now behind the 8. Still. He has a bit of the ol' X about him. just where he squeezes in is a another thing. If her had a tank as a creative outside mid/come winger perhaps. Backline's a bit congested.
  10. Its very simple. The context is the club and a players value to it. It really doens't matter who it is. Jesse can do and will what ever is required by his life to be. That and of itself isn't the issue. Tha'ts one side of a coin. That many here can and will discuss the other side of the coin seems beyond your sensibilities Saty. If you have even bothered to READ and COMPREHEND properly what is often =written by others , not just read into things what you will, then the club ought to look after itself , yes. I have empathy with Hogan's position. It's a very sad and emotional time for sure. Does the rest of the world stop ? Will the rest of the AFL comp put all things aside ? Of course not. Some pragmatism , no matter how unsavoury to your good self it might be , must be utilised. Shlt happens....and some people have to deal with shlt.
  11. mate you are an absolute [censored] arent you. You failed to take in the context and then revolve it to suit your view.
  12. There seems a kneejerk reaction when anyone discussing a players action or inaction becomes labeled as bashing. Nonsense. Many here are being robustly clinical and removing the lads character and/or motive from the equation and just evaluating the actions or inaction on their merit. Jesse has a year on our paper left. Jesse may or may not go It's not in the club's interest (probably) to see him go. It's not in club's interest to have him play out 2017 and not signed beyond Whatever is the impediment to signing on it must be discussed and the club needs to have that signature before trade week. It will be manifest folly to not do so. This isn't about Jesse as a bloke it's about Jesse's value to the Club. Club cones first. If folk cannot differentiate, that's then them and not the discussion.
  13. Macca. I really don't think anyone wants to win that Charlie now. It's rusted !!!
  14. The Jab/Jobe Brownlow is tainted. I honestly don't think any other player wants to touch it. Just record , no winner
  15. I think this would be the most appropriate result. No resut would speak volumes. It would also relive others of any embarrassing stance.
  16. dont refer to him as the saviour....he already has a 'complex"
  17. The AFL has its head up its arze and is waiting for the next alignment of planets !! Gil the Dill and his mates work on the principle that if you can keep is off the front or back pages youre "winning"
  18. No problem with that. In fact a good opportunity. But let's see what happens.
  19. Jake wants to spread his his wings , fair enough. What do we get ?
