  1. We spend upteen hours berating and pilloring the Toiges for 'achieving' 9th. We haven't even made that mark and come away with a sub100 percentage. I don't necessarily concur it was our youth just tiring. Others managed better, why? Im glad to see a few decent wins but for all of our supposed talent we are still very wide of the mark. 2017. Its Make or break.
  2. A poignant indication for mine, and it goes to the idea of litmus raised elsewhere; we still finished withsub 100℅ That's a fail Disappointing to say the least Squandered , more the case What have we really learnt ?
  3. They have. Not even a question really. So sad it's such. Sorry Paul
  4. We may have improved some elements but it's hardly a successful is it if this is the litmus
  5. So you're blaming the supporters ? Funny , thought it was the players/coaches position to change the fabric of discussion. Maybe if the gave a damn, we might
  6. I think reality checks required. Whilst we have shown a hint of incremental improvement I can't for the life of me equate this season as successful. We're just a different type of rabble today. Putrid.
  7. Melbourne's tribute to Roosey, everyone's going on holiday apparently !!
  8. Nearly went the season without a 100 point belting....... Thanks Paul, save yourself the embarrassing presser,Goody can get a practice one in. Enjoy Oahu. Cheers Meanwhile, the Dees are turning on a retro display of insipidy.
  9. Jaegar O'Meara Caveat emptor ( Not for us )
  10. no, not at all. Trengoves potential is still very much an interest. Grimes has shown his colours and I wish him well for where ever he goes
  11. The AFLPA...lol....you mean that'other ' bunch of shysters !! fmd they argued the Essendrug lads had done no wrong ffs
  12. If there was someone in the club who understands better Trengoves predicament and whats required other than the lad himself Id be interested t know whom. Heres a lad who I have utmost respect for. I was among those who thought all things being equal he would be incredibly lucky to just regain full unabated use of his physical being but he has shown hes not only made of the right stuff he is of the right mind I really want him to succeed. I want what he brought to the game in those early days back . Im sure he does to and will move another mountain to see if he can do just that. Some players ponce around as though some self entitled demi god. Trengove wants to play , and play for us. Let him his chance. If he fails to make the mark it will be just so. If he CAN be the original player we are in luck. Now is NOT the time to call time on this bloke.
  13. AFL the new standard in corruption and blatant self servance The standards of governance are beyond abysmal
  14. just referring to the originating members utterance. Tis how he described himself. And would concur...
  15. I agree.. Also the stats fail to show t/o or describe d/e etc. that and ....stats are just stats. I like Grimes' gumption. Just wish his game was more effective.. Shame really.
  16. A thought about the utilisation of players of Dawes' ilk often somewhere in and amongst the arguments incorporates a mentoring role with a view to stepping into coaching. Chris has a line of pursuit already with law so the after-footy role would probably carry little weight if looking to make use of Chris beyond the field. I do agree that the cleaning of the closet isnt quite so cut and dried as per previous seasons
  17. Surely the real endeavor of a club is to find and filed players that do actually add to the equation, not someone you can pay less for because of underperformance ?
