  1. bedford is on a standard two year deal so that won't happen i'd hope that stretch is a more of a trade opportunity for a third / fourth rounder with additional swap rather than delist baker is a likely delist maynard the same o mac - don't be ridiculous, might be a trade option, but even that is unlikely j wagner a likely delist you could easily add: nathan jones a possible retirement jordan lewis a likely retirement jkh a likely delist jeff garlett a likely retirement tim smith a likely delist declan kielty a likely delist guy walker a likely delist then i'd personally be listening to offers for: jayden hunt - second / third rounder or a player swap? alex neal-bullen - third rounder or a player swap?
  2. i find the anti-pert agenda really interesting i don't quite understand it myself
  3. the numbers are stark: https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/demons-early-warning-on-poor-start-to-2019-20190430-p51isa.html In his presentation, Misson showed that the Demons had 39 players complete a total of 33 training sessions each in the pre-season prior to the successful 2018 season, when they made the finals for the first time in 12 years and stormed in to the preliminary final. This year, in Misson’s telling, there were just 25 players completing a total of 22 sessions each – a massive drop partly explained by high number of players who had post-season surgery.
  4. Velvet Sledgehammer is a moron
  5. i was basically the same for the top three! i was kinda hoping for a draw btw carltank and poos&wees tho, cos i can't stand either of em and i have no optimism whatsoever for the latter
  6. hawks have held carlton scoreless for some time now, all the while getting it back to under a goal the diff the blues who have a whopping seven players aged 29 and over; they're not nearly as young and inexperienced as everyone makes out
  7. and just like in reality, he's chopped off at the knees in this photo...
  8. the colour of the seats?
  9. these sound like bruce springsteen lyrics! all it's missing is a lil stevie riff and some massive sax solo from the big man
  10. bears @ gc17 is barely watchable terrible quality football
  11. no guarantee on that we are currently playing with our 'best available' midfield and we are being routinely thrashed for contested footy
  12. if you were to trade petracca (and it would be pretty silly to do so imo), you'd want it to be for someone who can immediately impact for us, not something speculative; think phillips from the pies to add outside run, ed langdon plus freo's first rounder for trac and our second round pick, etc. etc. i think trading trac would be incredibly short-sighted what i don't understand is that his best footy seems to be played as an impact mid who starts forward and rotates through the middle, but apart from a section in the third quarter against the swans (when we caught longmire on the hop, with brayshaw's turnover hooray henry kicks starting on the bench), he's basically been stationed inside 50 for the majority of the year he is too much of a ground-ball player to play as a forward target - he is only just over six foot tall, is not a marking player but instead is better when the ball is on the turf, so why we continue to play him as a forward target has me beat
  13. that would be the worst deal imaginable
  14. forget him; he's going to hawthorn, if he leaves the franchise and jeremy cameron is signed up to gw$ long-term and under massive, massive money
  15. No chance!
  16. Pies put them to the sword early and since midway thru the second have completely dropped their bundle Peptides are coming now!
  17. two of the three are out of contract; when the end comes, it can come quickly
  18. we were never at risk of losing hogan 'for nothing' as he would not have been eligible for free agency at the end of 2019 it's not just the worst trade under goodwin, it's the worst trade since we shipped scott thompson out and got brent moloney back may is fat, undersized for a modern key defender, and lazy while kk is the next cale morton; hogan will continue to be the prototype modern key forward we must persevere with weed and t mac up forward as it's out best option; shifting t mac defensively last night was an admission of defeat in my view before the siren had even sounded
  19. Parish is more an insider than an outsider, and Lewis Taylor is very vanilla Throw every spare cent we have at Coniglio as a free agent Get Ed Langdon as a trade for our (unexpectedly high) third rounder Draft Rowell with pick 1 Begin again
  20. Viney gone with a shoulder more than likely
  21. Yep completely forgot about Hannan...when things are glum there’s worse to come!
  22. Our performance is currently substandard, our player development has been poor, we constantly lose stoppage and contests, our backline is under siege, our forward line isn’t functioning, our midfield is getting thrashed for contested footy and ball usage...our rucks are going okay......ish...... Who of the football dept are OUT of contract? Cos it’s all well and good to say “SACK EM!” But we are not a rich club and can’t afford to just sack contracted coaches willy-nilly
