  1. one of the clubs i truly envy meth coke have an amazingly strong record of being a finals side - they've only finished outside the 5 / 6 / 8 nine times in their existence (twice in their first three years), and even then they've only dropped into the bottom few on half those occasions (and used that as an opportunity to 'bounce' back up the ladder quickly with good drafting and trading) they've already been rumoured to be 'into' tim english from the dogs and logan mcdonald from sydney, have a heap of players due to roll off big salaries soon, and are, arguably, the wealthiest club in the competition
  2. the commentators on our praccy game said the same; we didn't look like our previous season finished 6 weeks later than other sides
  3. still super surprised that meth coke let brander go for free i guess they didn't expect darling to listen to his mother-in-law quite so closely
  4. i don't think it's that big a surprise that teams are running as close to best available as they can; with only two practice games before season starts, the players need to blow out the cobwebs and be good to go in less than three weeks for our squad, we're also six weeks behind as a result of, well, as a result of being premiers 😈 it's a minor issue that i'm prepared to have every year for at least the next decade
  5. finally finished watching the game in between meetings votes... 6: oliver 5: sideshow bob 4: salem 3: harmes 2: petracca 1: plugger mac we weren't really troubled once we settled into our groove
  6. remember when we used to be the side that said 'hey, we kicked 6 goals against the reigning premier in a first-up practice game - that's not so bad!' 😈
  7. brayshaw's kicking in the grand final >>> brayshaw's kicking in a praccy game at casey
  8. actually that might've been closer to 90m hahaha
  9. north's skills ain't good but their effort is laudable
  10. peptides should have been a regular finals side for the last several years given their age profile and list demographic i'm expecting them to be in that clutch of teams 5-12, depending upon injury and form of key players
  11. My MFCSS says below 50k My post premiership glow says 75k I’ll split the difference and say 64,064
  12. That free was rubbish Great win Dees
  13. here's the story: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-02-19/eddie-betts-waylon-davey-afl-private-school-xavier-college/100838978 cousin to jesse motlop, picked up by carlton last draft he'll be at school with alwyn's twins, who from all reports are both likely to be at the peptides next year i wonder how aaron's kids are going? they were a bit younger than alwyn's, from memory
  14. next cba should be negotiated shortly which will see a fair few players wait and see what their value is in market as contracts straddle the current agreement and then the next one he's a restricted free agent so it's hard to see us losing him for diddly squat if he does choose to leave
  15. that's a bummer; sounds like a pretty unusual injury? thank goodness we seem to have depth at this point in time
  16. 40 game rolling average so it would encompass a lot of his last season (or two, given injuries) at gw$ as well
  17. Syndesmosis injury which is no good i hate seeing good players injured prior to this, hadn't missed a game
  18. play a chip-chip-chip game with plenty of high possession, high mark ball usage = more champion data points = higher rating arbitrary and meaningless in the grand scheme of things
  19. if the individual game stream doesn't work, go to 'live channels' and click the 'fox footy' button something definitely gone skew-whiff in their individual game stream set-up today; must've been pointing to the wrong feed
  20. if nic nat qualifies for the allies by dint of being born in fiji, then so too does gawn, being a kiwi
  21. 5: mithen 4: l pearce 3: zanker 2: harris 1: d pearce
  22. if it fat [censored] farts does it leave a stain?
  23. the afl will ALWAYS be governed by the filthy lucre the men's competition has maintained strength despite a global pandemic and the women's competition has grown from it's base during the same time period both are very, very healthy
  24. as a member, no way - aflw is the top tier competition, afl reserves is important but clearly secondary to the expansion and promotion of the women's league both should exist imo
