  1. there's a week of trade period and a draft and a pre-season to go; settle petal
  2. i think he'll be picked up as a dfa by another club he could easily play another 80-100 games at afl level; he's not old, he's not terribly skilled, and he clearly has his head screwed on right i did love the synchronicity of the brothers being picked up by the same club using the same draft pick and both of them being whipping boys in a backline that was - for the most part - under constant strain due to the inadequacies of those further afield
  3. about $210m over the last 15 years from various governments and other interested parties
  4. it's handy to be in a marginal seat at state and federal level
  5. i see the saints as around about the same as us tbh midfield is reasonably even: gawn - marshall & ryder / mckernahan petracca - steele oliver - brouch viney - hannebery brayshaw - ross langdon - hill i'd take our backline over theirs: may - howard lever - carlisle tomlinson - wilkie salem - coffield hibberd - geary rivers - long i'd probably take our forward line over theirs: brown - king weideman - membrey jackson - ryder / mckernahan & marshall fritsch - gresham pickett - butler hunt - billings where i think they are better than us is in experienced depth: harmes - z jones avb - battle spargo - kent baker - sinclair
  6. and sharing is caring
  7. i just don't see it based on what we've seen over the last several years, anb's best is better than narkle's and i don't see the former in our best 22, ideally, so i don't see how narkle is making us better i definitely think he'd add depth
  8. zerrett is a significantly better user of the pill
  9. is he really all that and a bag of crisps? it's like the possible tom phillips acquisition; i just don't see anything amazing about this player; he can't make his current side, and in the case of narkle he reminds me too much of anb to get too excited about - he runs around a lot without doing much damage with the ball in hand
  10. that is comedy gold from essendon love it
  11. they should call that segment 'rendell rambles' cos really that's all he brings to it at least he hasn't managed to say anything that's outright racist...yet...
  12. gathering more points together to on-trade accordingly?
  13. off field we've been kicking goals for at least half a decade now if only the on field could reflect that
  14. free acquisition, break-glass-in-case-of-emergency type his game against grundy was awesome competes but is obviously limited
  15. bizarre decision from dunkley for mine i do think it's hilarious that there's been so much gnashing and wailing about oliver walking out on us...but it is clearly not happening; meanwhile the dogs just one of their key players
  16. dogs want out of this draft; filth want out of next there's two first-rounders that we should be targeting if possible
  17. carlisle was on big money; currently doesn't have a contract hill they frontloaded last year, crouch is going to them on less money than he was on at the crows, billings is ooc at the end of next season, and no guarantee to stay at the aints beyond that as they've moved past him they also have a number of veterans on relatively low contracts - geary, ryder, ross - who are key to their best 22 i think they've managed their list build quite well, but i don't think they're necessarily in a better or worse position than us, really
  18. i'm itching to get involved here but i'm not convinced that we'll bring in any of phillips or mckernahan as yet...nor that we'll ship out any or all of t mac or o mac or hannan or preuss or avb or anb, who all seem likely options to depart (or at least what we'll get back for them) this is NOT the team i would go with necessarily, but it is one option... B: Jetta - May - Lever HB: Rivers - T McDonald - Hibberd C : Langdon - Petracca - Salem HF: Melksham - Weideman - Fritsch F: Hunt - B Brown - Pickett Foll: Gawn - Oliver - Viney I/c: Harmes - Jackson - Spargo - Brayshaw Emerg: Baker - Hore - Petty - J Smith
  19. general vibe from the afl scribes is that he's going nowhere
  20. carn the legs!
  21. drumpf taking that one to court
  22. that port adelaide legend daryl borlase's son is eligible for the adelaide crows' nga by dint of being born in egypt while daryl was working for the wool board there says a lot about how insane these nga 'rules' are
