  1. fwiw, i think hewett will prove a far more valuable pick-up than any of their high-priced imports in mcgovern, martin, williams, or saad i just can't fathom how they're paying them all, particularly with walsh out of contract at the end of 2022
  2. round 1 friday night at the g as a home game grand final replay would be a great way to start the season in an ideal world, we'd just split the gate every year, but as that is extremely unlikely i'm hoping that tiggas get the anzac eve as their home game and we get queen's birthday vs the filth so we can begin to alternate the fixture for gate takings other than that, my biggest curiosity is if we're sent down the highway to taxpayer park AGAIN, or used as one of the 'away' sides in tasmania for kangas (as is the norm) or hawks - can't think of the last time we weren't sent to either of those locales i presume we'll have one home game in the alice against a low-drawing interstate side (gc17, gw$)
  3. i really like caro - in terms of investigative reporting into the backroom shenanigans of afl and clubs she's second to none very happy he and his manager didn't sign the north offer, which - as far as i am aware and as was widely reported at the time - they rescinded midway through 2020 as he battled a serious knee injury and family issues with sideshow bob in the side, we were 11-1-1 and a premiership side happy days
  4. forget mac andrew; we won't be able to get him however, our other nga pick andy moniz-wakefield is likely to join, you'd think... from all reports both he and woeowdin are being projected as 'midfielders' going forward
  5. the little paper says gw$ likely to take him with their first 'live' pick - currently pick 2, but expected to slide behind daicos and darcy they reckon he'll go somewhere between 5-10
  6. definitely sticking with my 'nong' assessment
  7. possible but unlikely - gc17 want to shed picks in 2021, not gain em, as they have so many players contracted for 2022
  8. why? he was best 22 all year and a part of the back 6 til injury when he couldn't force his way back into a side that was settled in the midst of a finals run - not too surprising given he had surgery and most other players with similar injury were missing 12+ weeks i'd expect he'll be straight back to being part of the back 6 in 2022
  9. rendell screams out as a filth apologist all year the talk has been that daicos would be bid on with pick 1 and now a former filth employee is saying, "oh, no, he'll definitely slide to pick 3 which the pies already have the points to match"? he's even done the whole "why would you cost horne-francis $10k bonus by not picking him pick 1?" it's the same rubbish that bevo said last year re ugle-hagan to try and dodge around him, inevitably, being nominated at pick 1
  10. didn't gc17 pay an arm and a leg - or a pick 2, from memory - in order to get weller from freo? can't see them letting him walk away on the cheap
  11. that's exactly what tex walker said about jake lever...
  12. they've sold him on the same thing we did lever - come home, be part of a bright future, be paid a heap of cash
  13. that's easy - selwyn griffith! been being groomed for at least a year
  14. interesting that his partner has just moved from qld to wa - she's a netball player
  15. i'm more worried about the aoc getting their mitts on him as an olympic gold medal high jump prospect for the 2032 gold coast olympics in his home town he's state champion for his age group i believe
  16. pfft, with the extreme confidence that a premiership brings, who needs mac andrew? by the time he's ready to be be an afl player, kalani white will be ready to assume the mantle as jackson's padawan
  17. as expected / anticipated https://www.afc.com.au/news/1022135
  18. she did then the afl requested that all of mfc, gfc, and dogs' presidents make sure they had done their two week quarantine in perth 'just in case'
  19. same person told me burgess was definitely heading to the crom at the end of 2021 this time last year, so... 🤷‍♂️
  20. surely getting to the bears would be his ideal, as that way he'll be with his brother and around extended family
  21. 11-1-1 with sideshow bob in the side
  22. reckon rendell has his wires crossed - gw$ have two top 20 picks; they'll presumably use their second one (pick 13 currently) to land mac andrew clearly mobile, ball-hunting and quick-moving ruck / forward hybrid players are going to be in hottt demand given the impact luke jackson has had in his first two seasons they're all missing that dogga joined us at nearly 90kg and is already up to 100kg; andrew will join his new club at just 70kg by comparison jackson is one out of the box tho
  23. either sos or rendell was saying he's a lock to go top 10, wiht gw$ one club that's super keen
