  1. The fact that he’s in the guts and pulling down these sorts of numbers as an under-ager is very encouraging
  2. haha, fail
  3. ironic that on a day when a rugby player who repeatedly copped head high hits committed suicide - and I bet they find cte when they study his brain - the afl decided that, no, actually, the head is not sacrosanct after all
  4. has cripps got off yet?
  5. what am i, chopped liver?
  6. dogs will have jones, keath, and darcy as key defenders and naughton, lobb, and juh as key forwards in 2023 perhaps we should be throwing our hat in for bruce, as he always destroys us* *actually, doesn't
  7. took max for brunch as a means of apology lifting his knee into the oppo ruck is something he does sort of regularly - it's obviously something he doesn't necessarily intentionally...but it is dirty he's a 30 year old man who behaves like a teenager
  8. carlton aren't appealing; they're appalling
  9. Sparrow won’t make it as a midfielder with those sorts of numbers coupled with his inability to win possessions
  10. sounds like he's a 'pure' midfielder we need all the quality depth in there we can get
  11. has a younger brother too, i seem to remember? impressive to pulling in those sorts of numbers as an under-ager

  14. carltank's turnovers are ugly
  15. i always think it's super hard to win outside the top 4 and harder again if you're forced to travel to an 'away' venue that first week but i think this season is - geelong aside, perhaps - the most even it's been since 2016 we absolutely can win it, but we need that second tall target to do so mirror the 2021 structure; win the premiership easy done!
  16. naughton would be great - he'd fit right in with some of his misses from directly in front
  17. tiggas look certain to get 8th spot will neck tatts be back for finals?
  18. it's often quoted in the media - and by the club in our dark days as a 'good news story' - and it is based on that nielsen / roy morgan data that's guesstimated annunally to membership ratio https://www.roymorgan.com/findings/9029-afl-supporter-ladder-april-2022-202207260047 work out the ratios of supporters: members and we rank fairly high
  19. 2a we are outnumbered virtually every game we play as we have one of the smallest supporter bases and the highest conversion of supporter: member of the actual clubs, rather than the make-believe franchises
  20. i was afl members too i think yr split is about right the filth has probably 5x more supporters than us, not to mention 40k odd more members with the way they're playing at the moment, how they're not having 80k of their 110k membership base turn up every week i don't know the rotten [censored] are very, very good
