cos it was a 50m penalty - no advantage paid from that; play is effectively stopped til the mark is set 50m downfield

Farewell Brodie Grundy
i fully expect it'll be a pick around what he cost us but, most importantly, we're not contributing to his salary at all for the next five years of his contract

Cool light of day
it'll be interesting to see if he does bring them back to the training track earlier i don't know what that will achieve personally our fitness base and desire for the contest is not in question; our skills and composure most certainly is, the latter of which is mental being berated after choking the way they did and then whipped on the track is not consistent with the leadership tropes goodwin has displayed previously

Is our time at the top done?
hawthorn didn't even make finals after winning a premiership in 2008, and were in finals for the two years before that their next grand final wasn't til 2012, and then they won three in a row took scott 12 years between premierships at geelong, and that was after inheriting a list that had won two of the previous four premierships both these clubs had huge advantages in that they had the introduction of the two northern franchises accompanied with the introduction of free agency we won't have the advantages that either of those clubs had, but absolutely we should be contending for finals for a consistent period of time 2021-23 have been the three most successful years we've had since the norm smith era i fully agree if this group doesn't achieve another premiership it will have been a massive opportunity lost i expect us to compete for premierships some time to come they're not easy to win
