  1. as a former defender, i think turner is more likely to be tried to engineer that match-up
  2. probably the case but it means the in-season negotiations would be relatively uncertain, i suspect
  3. has he? i would have thought that aj has been playing in the 'a' forward line while jefferson was earlier in the off-season training program
  4. laura kane's position in the afl exec has nothing to do with diverty or equity hiring; everything to do with melbourne uni law school, uni blacks, and kpmg consultancies anna scullie's hiring as petracca's manager has everything to do with his outside football interests; it's a good result as it means negotiating a contract away from the mfc is problematic as scullie is not an accredited afl manager
  5. petty will return to defence, where he's a premiership player, in 2025, but still has the ability to be rotated forward if needs be van rooyen, turner, and johnson will get the first crack at being the tall forwards / ruck relief combo to start the season jefferson is next cab off the rank if jvr and disco aren't fit and / or performing i think fullarton - who shows absolutely no signs of being an afl-level player - is likely to not be on an afl list in 2026, and el jefe would be a chance to not be in the system as well but i believe he's contracted for next season
  6. anna scullie is eddie betts' wife
  7. $17m, 10 year says a lot about the aints
  8. starting the footy season this early in the year is ripe with this possibility it really is nuts
  9. Viney I reckon they will be went to stop our inside ball winner
  10. literally signed a new contract with gw$ in the last fortnight going nowhere
  11. seeing as he just signed a 4 year million $$ deal with gw$ let's go with 'no'
  12. Cameron braced with hands; no push There’ll be no penalty for that action
  13. whatwhat say what replied to Romey's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
    Same plan as me!
  14. Steve Crawley, the 65 plus year old exec in charge, quoted in the Age: “I am happy that you can actually read the graphic” i re-read this sentence as it means: “I am happy that I can actually read the graphic”
  15. Geez that looked bad for Briggs from gw$
  16. unless you're prepared to pay for it, yep
  17. all the scuttlebutt midway though last season was that we were the ones deadkeen on seeing if we could prise allen or waterman away from meth coke the work has been done, but we are not a 'sexxxy' team a la dingley we have been up to our eyeballs in recent seasons trying to get cerra, lynch, houston, allen, and waterman
  18. it's easy to forget that prior to foxtel there was scant highlights if you were lucky, friday night games that started at 7.10pm began replay broadcast at 8.50pm, and if you were lucky you got one game actually telecast 'live' per week
  19. exactly that - 3 games a week on fta
  20. c7 have prioritised thursday night over saturday; better ratings, more ad revenue compared to them, foxtel paid a fortune for the rights - they will throw even more of their weight around with daz n / saudi pif paying for the rights going forward
  21. aflpa will fight tooth and nail to maintain it be interesting to see which they agree to first - trade without agreement from the players or mid-season trades imo you can't have the latter without the former
  22. and yet yr post history suggests you're not new to demonland...
  23. launches march 31 if you have foxtel you get max+ads for 'free' binge is, effectively, dead max are yet to release their price points - that's going to be interesting to see
  24. They are basically a monopoly in live broadcast The choice of shots and supers over them is dependent on production Hence why c7 and fox will have different shots / gfx for the same telecast
  25. i doubt it it'll all be nep productions
