After watching Gus and Jones (Petracca also had a mentor but can't recall who) at the Qld camp I shuddered to think what it must have been like coming to the club 3-4 years ago. Massive strides have been made around how we bring kids into the club. That leadership vacuum killed careers.

He's actually dropped weight for this year, around 3-4KG IIRC. Part of a plan to allow him to work up the ground further.

Kelly is the 'pro scout'. His job is to watch the second tier leagues such as SANFL and NEAFL. Would have played a big part in identifying and monitoring vandemon during 14 season.
