Quite frankly I don't like this leadership group thing, too many chiefs and not enough well you know what I mean, they are like Prefects at school Hated those suckholes ,well you know what I mean. I have to say Sue, I don't worry about friends re excuses nor anybody else . I have been following my beloved Demons since 1954. I don't have that optimistic feeling about our team and I am usually a glass half full sort. I didn't expect stacks of wins either just expected more FIGHT. The main theme of my say was about the player development progress or lack of. I am sure we have the talent but we don't appear to be bringing that talent on as well as we might. I can't understand why our captain has gone AWOL either. I just feel there is a hidden agenda, things just feel on the nose to me!!

well we've cornered the market in excuses, personally I'm sick to death of them, I'm tired of making up excuses to friends/ relos/ work mates etc etc and I've been doing it for YEARS, NO MORE I'm done with excuses Something is rotten, I've thought for a long time now that our player development is poor, especially the mental side of things , certainly we do seem to get so many injuries as well!! This is the reason in all walks of life in this country that people in control do exactly what they want because they know that the people will just roll over after a week or so and let things go--can't be bothered ----don't want the aggro----won't protest----lets move on attitude, even when the population at large know they are being shafted!!!! In this case its our sport of Football as we know it at stake. The AFL I'm sure have the best of intentions but they have to stop fiddling with the rules, these are adults playing, professional sportsmen, accidents will occur in all kinds of ways caused by no malice or intention. If they try too hard to legislate against it, we'll have a completely sterile product and people will slowly turn their backs on the sport and turn to badminton or something with more red blooded endeavour If they want to make the sport a better option than soccer for kiddies to play, how about starting with really hitting hard those players who sink the fist into behind the play and all this pushing and shoving and elbowing even while the ball has not been bounced?

This is a great sport being destroyed by a bunch of idiots,talk about monkeys in charge of a Ferrari!!! Far too many knee jerk changes in rules leaving everybody in the dark and so confused!! Just leave the game alone, its been around as long or longer than Soccer and they don't tinker with their rules. Seems to me we don't actually have rules, they are more like guidelines!!!! Open to all sorts of personal interpretations, hence the total inconsistency!!! I'm sure the umpires don't know if they are Arthur or my Aunt Maude!!!

I just want to see real intensity today, a desire to tackle and tackle again and and a BIG in your face performance by US.To pressure them into a fumbling panic like the West Coast did to us!!! Today is THE Day to stand up and be counted, another display like last week and I can't even think about it what might happen!!

Further to my post , I would actually pay to see the All Melbourne reserves play sans Scorpions. As it is now with our membership you can watch for free, I have never been to a Casey nor a Sandringham match in the past, and probably never will as it stands. Anyway I reckon FEV is cactus, he hasn't got the gumption to know whats good for him nor the will power to do whats necessary.

I would love for Melbourne and the rest of Vic Based AFL clubs to bring back their reserve teams and play them as of old VFL. If this were to happen the VFL as now would perish. The reason Casey spent all that loot on infrastructure was nothing to do with the Scorpions it was all to do with the Demons and that's who the deal is with. Our team and others in the AFL for that matter could only benefit by giving current arrangements the flick. Didn't do Collingwood any harm, nor Geelong. I know the days of having a reserve match before the BIG one on game day will never return but I sure would go to the reserve games if there was no clash in the timings. Anyway there must be heaps of issues we don't know about with this connection with the Scorpion. KNOCK EM ON THE HEAD, I SAY

It wouldn't surprise me because I was only 6 years old. Its through my mothers memorys of the day and result but I do remember going to Victoria park in hindsight and fleeting memories of passages of play on the day glimpsed through peoples legs.
