It doesn't make a difference because you can't be taken as a mature age rookie in the national draft. Nobody was ever going to take him in the national draft.

Like nearly every other delisted player in this draft, Hansen would have found out the truth which is that not a single club would have touched him. At least now, with WCE paying out the bulk of his contract, he has an outside chance of being drafted.

No luck for you on that score. Gold Coast reserves and the GWS team are taking part in a new competition that will incorporate the Brisbane and Sydney reserves, NT Thunder and some of the stronger clubs from the Qld & Sydney comps. They might play in a north and south division.

Feel sorry for Damien Carroll (former Springvale and Casey player and brother of Demons' supp. list player John) who was just appointed coach of Box Hill Hawks. Many of the players delisted formed the backbone of the Box Hill team last year and now it look like he's going to have to rely heavily on Kyle Cheney and David Hale.

I think you're right. I remember reading somewhere that Jack Viney was the first PAC Year 9 player to play in the senior team when he played with Trengove and Tapscott in 2009. If he's a decent student then he'll be doing year 12 in 2012.

If you're making this suggestion because it might help us get Jack Viney, I don't think it's a good call. Fathers shouldn't be coaching sons at this level.

Tha Matt Little can play just a bit too. He's a good medium sized goalkicker.

If Gold Coast is to take Bruce under the uncontracted player rule then it has to announce it by Thursday.

The thick plottens according to today's Sunday HUN - Queensland Police Grill Brendan Fevola "Sources have told the Sunday Herald Sun Fevola told police the woman propositioned him and gave the 29-year-old her phone number. The woman's husband is thought to have discovered the number exchange and confronted his wife. No charges have been laid." If what the sources are saying is true then I would expect some resignations at high levels at the Brisbane Lions.

Still makes a good point that even when we were down and we supposedly have less supporters than most other clubs we were able to attract a decent crowd to the G and Demetriou was being unreasonable and unfair on the club when he made those comments. I can't wait till we're top of the heap so we can stick his words right up him.

Turns18 in 2012 so that would be the draft in which he first qualifies. The new rule seems to make him accessible to GWS as a17 y.o. The rule hasn't been approved by the AFL yet.
