I think you'll find if you asked Robbo he would admit to not being proud of that incident. Our young team doesn't need such examples from senior team members.

Last weekend there were a few upset results. I think it's our turn this week. I like the fact that Wheels is finally back in action. His experience will be important for us.

Give Shane Valenti the job in the ruck. Yes, I know, he's not very tall but judging by the stats, he wouldn't be too far behind the blokes we've used in the ruck so far this year. All good.

Excellent write up. I hope the club persevered with Maric who had a tough gig yesterday. He was restricted during the preseason because of hip surgery, played a few games where he impressed with Casey and then didn't play last week because he was an emergency. Then he cops Geelong first up. As I said: "Tough gig!"

It could be interesting viewing with the senior debut of Jack Watts for Casey and the return from injury of Ben Cousins for Coburg.

I certainly hope that Maric gets a game for us this week. I think his bite on the forward line might make a difference. Nearest to the pin: Adelaide by 18 points.

Very fashionable three day stubble growth (on Miller, not Pia). Would have attracted a few members notwithstanding the fact that he's very happily married.

The crowd of 40,000 was pretty handy for a game between the two bottom sides. Strange that after the game both teams improved their ladder positions!

There's no mention of Brent Moloney who sat out the last half of the Port Adelaide game with a "corked thigh". Based on past experience the official injury list has little credibility and I'm predicting here and now that Beamer will be a late omission from Sunday's team v Richmond due to an unknown ailment.

Sounds like they were pretty undermanned. Disappointing after some good praccie games from the Scorps.

In view of what transpired last year the Bailey line sounds reasonable to me. We won only three games out of 22 and had a %age of about 60, we won the least number of quarters and had very few highlights in a shocking season. Of course we need to be competitve much longer. Just think of how much effort we need to put in to lift our wins to 6 for the season and our %age up to 80. It needs a massive effort and we have to be realistic and ... be competitive for longer both as a team and as individuals.
