  1. What else can you say in a pre game thread a few days out these days? "Please pick a good team tonight"
  2. Is there a numerical figure of how many learnings we need to be a good team?
  3. If I could pick one it would be JVR as a defender. Maybe Howes at HFF.
  4. Been busy the last few days, in short: How was it careless? Why was it not dismissed as just a 'football act'? Why do we keep hiring Adrian Anderson?
  5. Was always going to be a score from turnover game and we didn't capitalise.
  6. As much as confidence fluctuates in watching Jeffo at the moment I don't see any reason to drop him. We have absolutely nothing left to lose this season and might as well get some games into him.
  7. There was no need to go to the butcher this weekend because both sides were serving up their best tripe with skill errors galore in the midfield.
  8. Felt we were caught in two minds with ball movement this game. When we moved quick from the back we actually looked good, there were times when it looked like we were favouring bombing to pockets though. There will always be times to do that but does it seem like there is too much confusion in our approach right now?
  9. Forward line is not fixed and it never will be.
  10. Screw the pregame thread.
  11. So what you're saying is that if there was a ladder for good performances but hard done by the umpires we're on top? Can you remember the last time someone looked back at an underachieving team and said "That side were good and really could have challenged for bigger things, their problem was that they always got the raw end of the stick with the umpires." If we knew half a thing about what we were doing we would have romped that game in. Carlton were and are not good. They actually butcher it as much as we do!
  12. So we'll just pay our high membership fees for more of the same? Why don't I just go to Port Melbourne pier and throw my wallet into the ocean..
  13. For some reason I just knew something was going to go wrong there. Bowey doesnt get pinged, he finds targets, but of course the one time this wasn't going to happen was right there. When your not a good team these moments almost find a way to go against you.
  14. People here were so starved for a win last week and it got more plaudits than it deserved. We beat a bottom for team after a month of losing then lost to another cruddy team that happened to have a few more better players than last week. For what its worth I wasn't that impressed with Carlton tonight. I thought the 2nd quarter was our Xmas gift to them early. The fact that they won the quarter after being pretty poor was a joke. But they did win the individual moments and therefore the game. Im sick of losing to this mob.
  15. Pickett Gawn Oliver Rivers Salem Bowey
  16. Getting sick of losing to Carlton. We were once Tigers, now [censored]-cats
  17. That's a wrap
  18. Carlton building a nice little winning streak on us
  19. Disappointing
  20. Behind the crooked cross
  21. They're out of trouble
  22. Who wants it more?
  23. They were my thoughts, a lot of people pumped it up here though. Might have just been starving for a win.
  24. Yeah so games like this really make last week's win a lot less impressive than it was.
