  1. It seemed like it was purely timing with Jeff. Think he might have just had Kobe and it was hurting him being away from family. I might be wrong but I believe his grandmother was ill at the time as well. I do believe that any other time he probably wouldn't have left us. I do agree that if getting home is the priority then all options should be open. I don't quite understand the whole nominating of clubs thing, that's always seemed like it should be for free agency. Good question on the UFA I'm honestly not sure.
  2. My grandmother was born in Romania and grew up there but I'd be surprised if more than half the family knows or remembers this.
  3. I agree, much more mobile than those two. Time will tell, I hope we start to see some glimpses but I do agree that 2 years development was a minimum requirement.
  4. So great that we do this and this time of year as well.
  5. He actually should, Kozzie is the exact age that Jeff was when he left and also had a young family at the time. A point of view from someone who went through it before and got the t-shirt can't hurt.

Yeah I remember these, possibly one at Glenferrie Oval back in the day? Great to hear they're being done for charity. Would love a crack but although I'm in category 3 with 'any sort of footy background', my spondy injury probably puts me at -3. Happy to chuck a donation in though 🙂
  9. Just pace yourselves with the AFL media everyone, marathon not a sprint..
  10. I would be absolutely putting in the work with those Freo player agents over the next 6-24 months DA J. We'd be sleeping at the wheel if we didn't.
  11. Always appreciate the outside of the box thinking Macca!
  12. Possibly a bigger loss than Ben Gibson on the PR/marketing front?
  13. He's always wanted shorter quarters but not the shortening of pay to go with it.
  14. My partner does recruitment in this space. She's never been able poach anyone from Grill'd because they're paid so well, from head office to restaurant level. Definitely over-corrected by the sound of it.

I'm quite confident of them getting the 1 score win, if that makes any sense at all. I don't see a blowout either way unless a key injury happens early on. Regardless of the result, I do want to see Barkley wreak some havoc. I'm sceptical on it happening though because historically it doesn't. In the last 20 years only 5 RBs have run for 100 yards+ in a superbowl. You have to go back to 97 for the last time a RB won the SB MVP. More often than not defenses in these games stack the box and focus on limiting running room, not to mention teams that make it to this game usually have a very good front 7 on defense. Barkley has all the capabilities to buck the trend, let's see. He may break one off early and that sets the tone for his day.
  16. Good work Dees. Good company in the 'quick serve restaurant' category from what I've heard.
  17. Was he white as a sheet?
  18. This is what separates the men clubs from the boy clubs. I've got full faith that they are addressing things and I'm sure Ben Crowe is already making a difference.
  19. Me too. Wing with the view of half-back at some point in the season.

Did you know that the Chiefs went 2 months without turning the ball over until that moment? 🤯

Very hard to go against Mahomes in any Superbowl. Barkley will need to run like hell. Spagnolo usually has the answers and I think he will use blitzes to full advantage yet again, so they are relying on Barkley a lot in this one. The Chiefs aren't great on run defense but are definitely better than the last two teams the Eagles faced especially Washington. I think they can make it difficult for Barkley and stopping him should see the Chiefs win. The quarterback dual is a good one. I'm not the biggest fan of Jalen Hurts in all honesty. I think he's got great tools and dangerous when teams sell out against the run but he's not the most accurate and can be susceptible to pressure despite having one of the best lines going round. Mahomes on the other hand is 2nd in the league for success against pressure despite having no LT for most of the season. The one thing in Hurts' favour, is that he's not asked to do as much as two years ago, this is a different offensive unit and probably much more to deal with for the Chiefs. It should be a good game but it's unlikely I'll be picking against The Chiefs. Eagles sweating on the Dickerson injury as they will have pressure through the interior line. It will probably come down to Spagnolo vs Sirriani/MMoore. Tip coming soon.

Been packing to move house today so had it on in the background. Disappointing result, not all that interested in another one of these but that's what it is.
