Well said and not something I'd considered as much on the first listen to it. Heart in the right place but probably found herself needing to re-clarify her stance more than she could have.
-
Apparently our club can't put a foot right though.

One thing I've learned about the many different administations we've had is that they're only as good as their last day in charge. No matter how good they seemed in the past, you can lose trust extremely quickly. Incredibly difficult to get back.

Seven is heaven! Drink it in while you can, it's highly doubtful we'll see it again. Love you Max.

No doubt about it. It took years to build this, trials and tribulations, false dawns. Forming a winning culture from a starting point of learning how to walk, it was a very long journey. The ground work was laid and it was finally bearing fruit. In what feels like a matter of seconds it's been busted right down again. I think a lot of MFC fans can be forgiven for thinking they may not have it in them to go through it all again. The candle was finally burning bright and we were proud to be fans. A damn shame it wasn't nearly for long enough..

Point taken. Would you care to explain point for point how you would have liked that interview to go? We've heard it was bad, lacked leadership, wasn't up to it. Right now you're speaking through an echochamber. The view from the cheap seats isn't bad but let's get some constuctive feedback on this. Tell us all exactly what you would like that have heard our president say on a morning talkback radio program, what would have reassured you in a time of severe turbulence or even crisis, how should she have prepared better, what does competent leadership look like in a situation as unique as this one? The floor is yours.

Averaged 26 possesions and 20 effective each week off half back and was a huge part of their revival. Very good season.

Surprise, surprise...

Ok I'm going to say this one more time because this is starting to turn confrontational with some posters and I'm really not up for analytical bulldust after a 14 hr day. My comments about liking the interview were tongue in cheek, while I thought some things annoyed me like denying we needed an independent review I wasn't that annoyed with her not being in contact with Trac during ICU. I've listened to a lot of interviews before so I'm not a dumb**** but maybe I'm wrong on that one. I did not say the interview was perfect, what I said was that people were crying out for the president to say something like they were the lord and saviour, they said the president was never there during the tough times. Guess what, here's a tough time, she stepped up and surprise surprise it wasn't good enough for people. What were you expecting exactly? What is the DL armchair playbook for giving a great interview in a total meltdown situation and in percentages how much better would this be? When was the last time the president or the CEO spoke and people here unanimously loved it? You can scapegoat the president all you want but even if she gave the best interview ever it wouldn't change anything right now and the fact is we need to hear from one person. And think twice about lumping me in with the 'head in the sand crowd' that thinks everything is peachy. I've said on numerous occasions that I think we have lost our way and need to check ourselves and that includes the people at the top. Goodnight now.

When Faced with Adversity, You Fight Back and Win

Good stuff. Note: More time spent in threads like this, less time spent in threads where people howl into the wind about what the president said. -
Must have been born in 2013 onwards.

Never easy going against the grain here. I just did it in another thread, doesn't feel great, you sometimes feel stupid. Stand up for what you believe in.
-
One thing I did not agree with in the Roffey interview was not considering an independent review. I am leaning towards voting yes for this.
-
Unbelievable hey. Full of [censored] these people.
-
Instead of floating stupid ideas like Wildcard round why doesn't an AA 2nd team even come close to getting a go?
-
I think you've actually missed mine but we'll leave it at that.
-
It's not frivolous Redleg, it's factual. People were screaming the house down here demanding our president talk and what's that gotten them? You can whinge till the cows come home but if they don't come home don't complain to me.
-
Wasn't perfect by any stretch but definitely gone from a 5 out of 10 to 1 pretty quickly and crappily
-
Everyone wanted the President to talk, now she has and everyone thinks it's pathetic. It's sort of like when someone says that there's too many streaming services around and how good would it be if there was a centralised service that had all these shows. We had it. It was called Foxtel, everyone hated it..
-
I know, it was a poor attempt by me at talking in code. For instance you could have the front of something like "Tom Morris is a genius" which is actually code for "We attack at dawn".
-
To be honest goodwindees, I thought of that instantly. Didn't want to say anything, if you know what I mean.
-
The rat in the ranks.... How could we be so blind.
-
Yeah that's it, bring it on baby. LET YOUR INNER DEMON OUT!

BDA it wasnt perfect but i thought she was confident in the way she spoke, even if she probably had no idea there was at least an answer for everything. No wishy washyness. At least in this interview. She sounds, keyword 'sounds' like a decent leader. I have no idea what the truth is behind closed doors but I didn't hate this interview. Obviously that depends on if you think the president needs to be in full dialogue with an injured player in intensive care, so in that case I'm going to get lambasted by the freedom fighters. Take your best shot gazorpazorps!
