I've seen some of Dean. If there is a better out and out key defender in the draft I'd like to hear it. Seems to have everything: good overhead, positioning with ball in flight, distribution, intercepting, closing speed.

Mate, it's horrific. The last key pillar left. Awful sounding injury too, a dislocated and fractured ankle. These are the injuries where you wonder if they will ever come back the same. There's something about left footers isn't there! This guy is a classy ball user, no question about it. Not too fussed about his contested game, kicking like that opens up the ground and that's gold.

I liked CJ when he came onto the scene. It looked like Hawthorn were keen to build a dashing backline, things have changed a bit and with the help of some injuries he finds himself down the pecking order. I feel this guy has a lot of upside. Even if he stays with the Hawks he provides them with a bit of a drawcard in their list depth. Would depend how much he cost, wouldn't want to give up too much if anything. If he was healthy and came cheap, it wouldn't be a bad thing if he just became another Jayden Hunt.
