I'm at the Timberyard in Port Melb. These big events are becoming a nice earner. Chiefs 1-6 and I'd say Mahomes MVP but gonna be different and say Chris Jones MVP
  7. I'm a big proponent of giving key position players time to develop but this here is a damn good question. If there's any draft stat gurus out there who can extrapolate some kind of data on this I'd be very interested.

One of the novelty sportsbet bets this year is what happens first - 1. Travis Kelcie reception $1.80 2. Camera cuts to T Swift $1.92 Gorg on sideline $1.88 Dees win flag this year $1.82
  11. Intra-clubs are like a flight simulator experience. The graphics are great, the staff call you 'captain' and you might even get to wear the hat. Actual games are like trying to land the real plane in some severe fog and in-season games are trying to stop the plane from crashing into a cliff or the ocean.
  12. Intra-club games do some of the job but there is a step up to practice games against another side and needing to prepare for their tactics. A little bit more of the unknown and a bit less of a closed environment. I look at it the same way as you would look at finals experience for a young developing team. It's almost impossible to replicate that environment in a regular game let alone in training, you might get the odd game that is played at 'finals like' level but obviously the more you can be exposed to it the better. It's a little bit of chaos vs control in having to give a bit to get a bit in pre season, I do think Richo is on the money. Now if the league scrapped practice matches for every team and said you all had to rely on intra-clubs, that's a different story.
  13. I reckon he's got that David Schwarz type of hypertrophy where if just touches the weights he puts on size.

Deebo Samuel turned up to SB week wearing an Eagles jersey to support his mate AJ Brown. Personally don't have much of an issue with it as it's a nice retro looking jersey but a trade block with Deebo, Kupp and Garrett on it would be a big start to off season shenanigans!

If I can find a way to get past the selfish thought of wanting the Eagles to feel the pain of losing twice to them in the space of a few years then I will probably be the same.

Absolutely, been a long time coming. Gorg will be on the sideline 😉
  17. In light of the news regarding Troy Selwood which is truthfully beyond words, I'd just like to make a PSA for anyone who reads this thread. Everyone goes through challenges and some do it much more difficult than others, but no matter how bad things get, you just need to make it to another day. Ideally, tell someone, a friend, family member, therapist, lifeline, anyone. Please don't keep it inside. But at very least, just do everything possible to make it to the next day. I could share some resources but I don't want to make this a link fest. If you're interested though I highly recommend looking up some of Jordan Peterson's content on the subject. He talks a lot about the impact it can have on your family and future generations. Take it easy.

Exactly right @Gorgoroth and I think the Chiefs will do everything to try and make Hurts throw to win it. I do think they will bring it but I've warmed this week to the idea of the trend being bucked. I think he's simply too lethal and has possibly the best line in football making the lanes for him. Chiefs will be prepared to take their licks. Win or lose I think he'll get 100+

Sounds like he's pretty gutted by the sound of it as well.
  20. Beyond words Timothy, beyond words.
  21. And then he took out a membership at Huntingdale 😀
  22. I'm sick of facts. People have been providing facts on things for years and look where it's gotten them..
  23. More b-crud clickbait. If Jeremy Howe is in our best team this century ahead of Jared Rivers, James Frawley and even Lynden Dunn then we can all just go to school.

  25. It seemed like it was purely timing with Jeff. Think he might have just had Kobe and it was hurting him being away from family. I might be wrong but I believe his grandmother was ill at the time as well. I do believe that any other time he probably wouldn't have left us. I do agree that if getting home is the priority then all options should be open. I don't quite understand the whole nominating of clubs thing, that's always seemed like it should be for free agency. Good question on the UFA I'm honestly not sure.
