Putting everything that happened in that half out of our mind this is the absolute fact: We have not played well, but we are 7 points down. That’s all we can think about right now. Quite a few players need to lift. Jones is butchering it in close, Hogan is having a stinker. Seedsman being out for the rest of the game gives me a little comfort, one less slick ball user to worry about. Ruck duel looks pretty even at the moment.

Teetering on the brink..

Man, all you have to do is break even in contested ball and you’re a show against us. This game looks like it’s being played in a bathtub with all the fumbling and sliding around and our skills are so off. Conditions or not why can’t we execute a simple handball to a target? We just find ways to make that look so hard and stunt any run going forward. Need a big lift this quarter and it starts in the middle with contested ball.

What can you say pre-game that hasn’t already been said? This one is everything. If the run home becomes any sort of situation where we have to win those last 2 then that will be it. Gut feel is not great all, sorry wish I could be as upbeat as others but it just wreaks of one of those return games that we don’t get the job done in after torching them in the first one. I have full faith we’ll have a crack though and hope like hell it goes our way.

It could be absolutely anything. That's what is so uncomfortable about all this. We will know a lot more after Saturday but man the only way I'm coping with this right now is to think one week at a time and not too far ahead.

Congrats Dom. 100 games is an achievement in anyone's book. Hasn't been his best season but we're right behind him and hope he can hit his straps in this run home!

If we could just make the most of the rules that we have I’ve got full faith the game can become better again. The game goes through peaks and troughs and there has always been bad games in every era, even the 80s and 90s which is the era people love pointing to as the flawless product era.
