  1. I am probably older than you Jayce-thus followed the barren years for longer!
  2. RR I have no problem with sledging, in fact i expect it. I have a major Problem with immature arrogance which is what i watched last week. Benn got 2 matches for his part in the "minor" Incident, Haddin should have got the same/. Shane Watson should have been sent off. That was just so embarrassing to watch. We obviously disagree on the style of S.R.Waugh's captaincy.
  3. Ahh Hazy, knew you would pop in. Does your above statement take into account that by mid 2008 (including Interest Payments) our debt was spiralling toward $ 8 Million?? In the words of Pauline Hansen " Please Explain??" Just shows how much our new board has REALLY done-doesn't it.
  4. HaHa!! Always keep your towel Close-needed when jumping into HYPERSPACE.....I will never be rude to a Gin & Tonic again.....
  5. i want Jimmy to get better and thus Inspire the Demons to win the Elusive 13th 14th 15 & 16 Flags. I always aim high otherwise there is no point. Happy Christmas to all, and bring on next year-i want victories. I want other Football supporters to REALLY HATE US!!!!
  6. HaHa Pull the other one, Scott Thompson is way ahead of McLean. once our new list is up and running his departure won't be missed. Brock is a good bloke with a big heart, but he was always an over rated player. I would be amazed if he gets his full pace back for a sustained amount of time, after that ankle fracture from 2008. P.S. Don't put Mclean & Davey in the same category- it makes you look silly.
  7. What is it with Footballers walking around Hotel Lobby's dressed only in Reg Grundys?? I have stayed in loads of hotels and never once had the urge to do that-why is it footy players do?? Carlton-what a great Club!!!!
  8. The Behavior of the Australian cricket Team was deplorable Last Week. I was embarassed to be an Aussie. I don't say that lightly-But i am really sick of the arrogant attitude, sadly at the moment the Aussies are not a likeable bunch at all. Particulairly after the Comments I heard Watson say on this mornings Radio, that basically defended the current attitude....Little shits obviously get Paid to much money and forget what cricket is all about. I hope the Paki's go right through us-maybe then the Team will grow up & learn some respect. I Like to see a Bloody Hard Fought contest, but i don't like seeing childish arrogance. Shane Watson hang your head... Ponting also needs a new Baggy Green-his original one is a disgrace. Carry it in your bag Ricky, but put on a new one when Representing my Country.
  9. Collingwood have their share of indigeonous players on their list, i doubt Liam would have been treated any different. Collingwood stuffed up badly and we were just lucky and quick to pounce. The one area i think Liam is lucky is that at this stage MFC players are not under the day to day pressure that the Filth players are. I heard Eddiewood on Radio this morning, it certainly sounded like a very colourful and fiery AGM. Lets Hope the Rumblings of discontent continue to fester!!
  10. I don't disagree, i was just using Jakovich as an example. Jacko was a Flawed Genius, Robbo was great and that's how i hope they are remembered by us all at the MFC.
  11. Gotta Pay that one. My Shout. I still reckon Robbo is harshly treated in here, but that's my opinion.
  12. Robbo did say a few things at careers end that in time he may regret, that's life. We have all done that. For a couple of weeks he was [censored] off no doubt. That probably erupted after doing all his Rehab last year, now the career is over was all that hard work worth it?? But i don't think it had anything to do with farewelling his team mates. Footy careers do rock by quick & i think he got that point across really well. And it hasn't tarnished my view of his 12 year stint at the MFC. Considering his Height i reckon he did a great job, not every player his size could hold down a key position-Robbo did a pretty fair job. And because of 1 or 2 incidents i think he cops a pretty raw deal. Allen Jakovich had a pretty ordinary defensive game, but nobody bags him. Jako was a Genius in my eyes. Robbo was a bloody good player & that's how i will remember him.
  13. Fair enough, but don't diss his farewell speech that's all i ask, because that to me came from his heart. Footy careers do fly by & it would be a great excercise to show that to the new boys, so they don't waste any opportuniies.
  14. He still loved playing with those guys. Don't underestimate that. Hey if i could take hangers in front of a big crowd i would Love to hear the Roar too, But what's wrong with that. Without team mates Robbo would not have got the ball. so i just think he deserves a little more respect.
  15. I think Demonland could be in for a very big 2010 myself! Going on Todays entries
  16. How the Hell do you know if that's how Robbo Felt?? Jesus H Christ there is a lot of crap written on this Forum these days. Show some respect to someone who played 12 years at the club. You have no idea what Robbo's mateship status with the players in the change room was. Nor you should. What you stated was disrespectful.
  17. A little Harsh this answer i believe BB. Easy to write from a nice comfy chair. Robbo gave us all a lotta joy and some frustrations sure-but he deserves a little better than what you write above, Maybe we should listen to his farewell speech to the players again. I thought it was great. I would be playing it to the new recruits
  18. Is being Picked up by the Shockers a good thing for the CV?? Time will tell i suppose, but i know if i had to put on that jumper & sing that dreadful Song i would be feeling violently ill
  19. What an amazing game. Over 800 Runs in 100 overs!!!! Pitch must have been made from a peice of Pristine Autobhan!! Flat and Lifeless for bowling. Sri lanka only lost by 3 runs! chasing 417.
  20. I am a Huge fan of Beaker from the old Muppett Show!!! Who are you referring to when you say Beaker?? Great Nick name
  21. Good Luck Shane, although as an old Sandringham dweller-I HATE Port Melbourne!! Saw some mighty games at the Beach oval between those 2 sides in the 70's-Crowds of 15-16,000 were there a few times. Good days. Go Zebs.
  22. Correct. i actually hope Tambling becomes a champion because he has been very unfairly treated by Football supporters in general. People expect and want instant stardom now, which is why that awful "Australian Idol" show exists. Good things can take time. I hope our FD treat all our Potential "stars" with care and Respect in the next 2 years.
  23. If he is a W.A boy, then well worth a punt. Don't forget he was at Richmond so he was probably not able to show much talent in that Rabble 12 Months with the "Chemist" as coach may juist sort him out....Don't Forget David Rodan played ordinary footy for richmond, at Port he has shone.
  24. I shall miss Robbo. Coming back from that achillies injury took some Guts, any body who has had to immobilize their body will unsderstand. A lot of his other leg muscles would have begun to waste away through lack of use, so to come back and even play again was a Top Effort. That being said the FD made the call his time was up, i am glad he will always be a one club player. I hope in years to come Robbo feels the same way. He should have made the AA side a few years ago, the Judges of that team should have been lynched that year. 76 goals from a pocket, forward flank against bigger opponents was a mighty effort. Good luck Robbo, some people in here have got it in for you but not me. Robbo was one player in the 2000 Grand Final who put in all day and didn't give up. Shall miss those Hangers and last Q goals to seal a game. May he always be welcomed back to the MFC
