  1. Fair enough, but don't diss his farewell speech that's all i ask, because that to me came from his heart. Footy careers do fly by & it would be a great excercise to show that to the new boys, so they don't waste any opportuniies.
  2. He still loved playing with those guys. Don't underestimate that. Hey if i could take hangers in front of a big crowd i would Love to hear the Roar too, But what's wrong with that. Without team mates Robbo would not have got the ball. so i just think he deserves a little more respect.
  3. I think Demonland could be in for a very big 2010 myself! Going on Todays entries
  4. How the Hell do you know if that's how Robbo Felt?? Jesus H Christ there is a lot of crap written on this Forum these days. Show some respect to someone who played 12 years at the club. You have no idea what Robbo's mateship status with the players in the change room was. Nor you should. What you stated was disrespectful.
  5. A little Harsh this answer i believe BB. Easy to write from a nice comfy chair. Robbo gave us all a lotta joy and some frustrations sure-but he deserves a little better than what you write above, Maybe we should listen to his farewell speech to the players again. I thought it was great. I would be playing it to the new recruits
  6. Is being Picked up by the Shockers a good thing for the CV?? Time will tell i suppose, but i know if i had to put on that jumper & sing that dreadful Song i would be feeling violently ill
  7. What an amazing game. Over 800 Runs in 100 overs!!!! Pitch must have been made from a peice of Pristine Autobhan!! Flat and Lifeless for bowling. Sri lanka only lost by 3 runs! chasing 417.
  8. I am a Huge fan of Beaker from the old Muppett Show!!! Who are you referring to when you say Beaker?? Great Nick name
  9. Good Luck Shane, although as an old Sandringham dweller-I HATE Port Melbourne!! Saw some mighty games at the Beach oval between those 2 sides in the 70's-Crowds of 15-16,000 were there a few times. Good days. Go Zebs.
  10. Correct. i actually hope Tambling becomes a champion because he has been very unfairly treated by Football supporters in general. People expect and want instant stardom now, which is why that awful "Australian Idol" show exists. Good things can take time. I hope our FD treat all our Potential "stars" with care and Respect in the next 2 years.
  11. If he is a W.A boy, then well worth a punt. Don't forget he was at Richmond so he was probably not able to show much talent in that Rabble 12 Months with the "Chemist" as coach may juist sort him out....Don't Forget David Rodan played ordinary footy for richmond, at Port he has shone.
  12. I shall miss Robbo. Coming back from that achillies injury took some Guts, any body who has had to immobilize their body will unsderstand. A lot of his other leg muscles would have begun to waste away through lack of use, so to come back and even play again was a Top Effort. That being said the FD made the call his time was up, i am glad he will always be a one club player. I hope in years to come Robbo feels the same way. He should have made the AA side a few years ago, the Judges of that team should have been lynched that year. 76 goals from a pocket, forward flank against bigger opponents was a mighty effort. Good luck Robbo, some people in here have got it in for you but not me. Robbo was one player in the 2000 Grand Final who put in all day and didn't give up. Shall miss those Hangers and last Q goals to seal a game. May he always be welcomed back to the MFC
  13. Chris Gayle Rocks, Newton doesn't (or hasn't to this point!) Wonder how many games he will play in 2010? i am not confident at all.
  14. I am proud of the socceroos, and what they have achieved over the last 3 -4 years. But i would rather watch it on TV in a local pub Midweek than have the whole of melbourne locked down for a month. Lock downs are the pits of the earth, i was in sydney when George W was in town and it was just RANK I like the EPL (Arsenal) and watch it when i can But soccer is not worth a 4 week lock down, to say nothing of the cost. Why do politicians get Stiffy's over big events, when we the Public Pay for it for years. The Formula one is Pocket money compared to this. I love Sport but i do not want my city locked down for a month (bet its longer) The Commonwealth Games [censored] me off enough. Go Demons is what i want Soccer can stay on TV......
  15. We spent 10 Years going up and down under Danniher. Personally i have had enough of that ride Bad for the heart anyway!
  16. Bloody Hell "Head to the Hills" The war is about to begin......
  17. I am glad we cleared that up, you usually write very inciteful posts on here so i was wandering where the logic came from!! i hope i never have to live through an era like 2007-2009 ever again. 3 years of not once considering september....Hideous.
  18. I don't think even the Great Captain Jack Sparrow coaching us would have got the MFC to a flag in the last 3 years. The Good players were coming to the end of there span, some played 12 months too long. Footy is a brutal game and you cannot always protect against injury. Look at Hawthorn in 2008, sure they won the flag and good luck to them, but the players paid a heavy price the next year. its 2 weeks before xmas, i can handle a couple of hammy's now. who was the crows player who did the knee last week-now that would be worse...
  19. I agree but it was only the 5th time in History that the First up batting side made 500+ and lost. So yes all power to the Big V. Just shows how much belief is in that side right now. How Bad would the Crow Eaters be It's just Golden Moments i say!!
  20. As i said above RR i am happy to admit i was wrong, but to say you could see that run chase coming on a fourth day pitch is a bit rich!! But it does prove that cricket should always be primarily a Long Game so that all the nuances of it can be applied. Go The Big V
  21. does anyone have a score card for the fourth innings? The Bowling must have been ordinary to concede such a score with only 4 down on a final day wicket!
  22. Bloody oath Go Vics that has to be one of the highest 2nd innings chases of all time, particularly in a 4 day rain affected game. Truly incredible, i have been at work so heard nothing till now.
  23. Fair enough....The Miracle Happened and good luck to them, White took a huge gamble and it paid off. The cold Beers are fully deserved in the change room tonight.
  24. REALLY!!! They scored 381 only 4 down. Ok i will happily concede i was COMPLETELY wrong. But as the rain tumbled down on friday i thought it was a shocking decision. I am happy to be wrong this time, and to the Vics and Cameron White i humbly apologize....
  25. Totally Agree. No Person deserves that regardless of their football jumper. To suggest Karma is just a very cheap shot. Poor Form Get well Scott, and may the offender face the full force of the law.
