(i was there) The Filth had to trade Davis & Sydney came to the plate (ultimately helped them win a flag) But when the situation is reversed how hard did tte filth try to get ball in the trade week?? They put up rubbish for a player who had captained his side and been an AA representative. Thus the ND is what it is. The Filth promised Ball the Earth but gave nothing. When Nick Davis collected his Premiership Medallion i hope the Filth officials took notice of what they lost. Lets hope the incredible and over hyped pressure hangs over all collingwood players for centuries to come, & we Thrash them comprehensively in september as we have always done. The Filth only trade fair when it suits them.

Let's not forget something important Here. Luke Ball is ultimately employed by the AFL, where he plays next is dictated by AFL Rules. A Player should not Dictate the terms, although i am still trying to work out how Ju$$ got to Carlton with the minimum of fuss. How deep the draft goes will Dictate where Luke goes. Now i am putting my Trust in the FD on this one, if we have the chance to pick up Luke but pass-Fair enough, but the young kid we take better be a good one because Ball is ready to play Round 1 next year and we need to start winning. A young kid may take 3-4 years to even play. We have 4 picks. in the top 20. 3 high Draft Kids & one seasoned player who played in last years GF kinda sits ok with me. But the FD know way more than me-so i sit......

Yes BUT..i would add that it was the Jolly deal that left Ball totally stiffed & out in the cold. He should have been aware that a Ruckman was no 1 Priority for the Filth......

Our Club has Grown so much in the last 2 years. It's Fantastic. We are going to be one of Australia's Premier Sporting Clubs again. It will take a few years to get there, but we are well on the way. (just do it nice & Quiet & suprise people)

When was the Last time Collingwood Traded Fairly?? The never deal like valued players. They hold this belief that the Earth's axis eminates from Victoria Park thus all players who wear that jumper are better than all else. Luke should have known this, The Filth have been doing it for years (or at least trying) Peter Moore aside of course..

i don't disagree with that at all, what i meant i suppose was that if someone pulls a curve ball (pltyer not expected) in that first bunch of picks everyone will have to shuffle their choices. Port were smart lining up 8-9 though-Gives them real clout on the night. having lost Burgoyne.

It all depends on who is picked at 3 through 10. Don't forget there is a timed break after the Top 10 to our next 11. So a lot of number crunching & coffee will be consumed on the 26th.

Sure we need a social club. And thats what i think we supporters should be telling the club, but right now our home is the MCG so i don't mind the idea $90 pays the room and staff, & no doubt security. There is also outside seating which would be great if the weather is warm still.

We have just had 3 years of Crap, with 2 new teams on the way in. With that in mind i believe we have to start winning games. That is not to say we do not draft kids at all, but we should be looking at a blend of young & older players to mentor on the run. We have to cement ourselves as a Victorian "Big" club in order to survive long term. Vlad is already talking 19 & 20 teams in the not to distant future. We cannot be carried forever. So yes i think we need a mix. The club should aim to win 10 Games next year, we may do it we may not but we have to start aiming high every year-starting now.

That's a good little Bar in there, i may do that if there is not a closer slightly cheaper alternative!! I think we should have a get together though.

I asked this question a few days ago BB, similiar to your above point. "Do you think all the players on our list are 100% totally passionate to be playing for the MFC list" or if they had a choice would they prefer somewhere else? I doubt the number would be 100%- that's Life Don't Forget Norm Smith grew up a Filth supporter....
