  1. Revolting organization..Death is too good for them. Carlton how i loath you. But that slogan is a joke, and not even catchy.
  2. I haven't cut & Pasted anything Barry. I am asking a Question that's all. All i have heard & read is speculation. I want to hear some Quotes with my own ears before i condem someone.
  3. Bloody oath Ritchie Benaud is like Part of the Family. WSC Cricket started when i was 15 & Ritchie was there, i am now 46!! When he goes, i will go up to sydney to pay my respects man. Ahh "What a shot" he gets excited !!!
  4. After the Draft is finished, because in the eyes of the Footy Dept he is still in the mix, & with a so called thin Draft, depth wise, so he should. Have another look at the First Half of this years GF. Luke played well, better than any of our side would last september. He could teach us a few things during a game.....
  5. Jack "Charlie" Watts is not a champion yet (not even close) I hope he becomes one, you bet. But right now he is a great school boy footballer, who has played some good VFL games & has had a taste of the Big Stage. He is just finished school so his output for the Demons should increase now, but so far i don't think he has shown much at all, and people who talk of brilliance just better sit down for a bit. Next season i expect to see a few glimpses & even a few suprises, but he aint a champion yet.
  6. I keep asking this.....When and where has Luke Ball said anything??? Not a word has been spoken.....If it has show me where....
  7. Ha! When i first Joined Demonland Kane Tenace was the "Buzz" Player we had to have....Now he can't even be collected from the nature strip as hard rrubbish!! Who would want the Recruiters Jobs-Bloody Nightmare isn't it.....I Pray that BP & Tim Harrington & co get it "mostly" right on the 26th....
  8. I agree, Some Journo has made that up. When did Luke or Connors actually look down the Barrell of a camera or speak into a telephone those words?? If i am wrong fair enough, but these two have not said anything as far as i have picked up. SEN would have played it constantly!!! It's a ridiculous concept anyway. Standing out for a year in modern footy wouldn't be easy. Lets see if Nathan Ablett can do it.
  9. Its Interesting that so many of you Guys are worried about Luke ball in 3-4 years. Personally i am more interested in what Luke Ball can teach our Midfield in the next 2 years. Nobody can Predict anything after that. Football is a Body Contact sport, every player is vulnerable. If we get 2 years out of Luke Ball & Scully. Trengove & Jonesy Flourish. With hopefully september action i will be stoked!! This talk of 5 years plus is fanciful. As Tim Harrington said yesterday for even an 18 year old they ask at every pick read out "Will this kid play 100 games?" Any thing over that is in the Bonus column.
  10. Fair enough, But if i was Captain i couldn't sleep straight if i implemented that rule!! It really goes against my Grain Ricky should have over ruled it. I almost lost a $1,200 Radio through RAGE!!!
  11. Like i said, We still Hold the cards. Like it or lump it...Thankyou jordan Mcmahon!!!!
  12. It is interesting to wonder "How many of our 40 odd players on our list Really Really want to play for the MFC 100% all the time they are on that list" I doubt it would be every player, but we are paying them a good wage so they are where they are. That's life. I think that would go for every other team list as well. Ball would well know that we hold #11 and #18 and even more interesting that Port have #8-9. in a draft we are told does not go to deep. By nominating for the ND he would know that the MFC is well in the mix, he was just able to name his asking price.
  13. If the MFC end up paying his wage, Luke Ball will play his ass off for the Red & Blue BB. Your sentiment has Merit but it's not practical. Like i said earlier we are now one of 4-5 clubs who can take him, & he knows it. Depends who is still available at 11 or 18. if ball is the Best, he will become a demon, regardless of his long term dreams.
  14. That's very interesting looking at the JMac Figures in here. Most want him gone, let alone captain..I Hope the Club is making the right decision. I Love Junior but i hope he can keep up with next years game. As Captain he Must play well, & not just make up numbers. If you play well next year junior you will be remembered as a true Legend of the Club.
  15. Yes there is an ongoing problem with over rates, going back to the 80's West indies pace attack Granted, But that situation should never deny a team from going for a win in a test match. It's just not Right. The Aussies Winning that game was a long shot, but i will never agree that we should be told to not go for it. Not with 2 hours to go on an old pitch...
  16. I agree with a lot of what you say. A lot of unknowns can happen to any player within 5 years. People talk of a 10 year young player.. Fine & good, But Luke is still only 25 & is ready to fire Round 1 next season. We do not need to send him to Casey for 3 years in cotton wool. Luke Ball is ready for Battle Round 1 against Hawthorn, & The Filth the next week. We must start winning Games next year. Luke Ball if he is available would help that cause (if he is Fit)
  17. I am waiting to see a Loooong Running Jack Watts goal sail through at post height at The MCG. Then i know that he belongs.
  18. Luke has Played some great Games. What he gives is Mentoring right in the Middle During Games. Scotty West is Brilliant, But he is no longer out there. Junior & Brucey were never elite Midfielders. They Play different Positions...
  19. Maybe you are right, but i still see him as a solid teacher for Scully & Trengove. That's why i think 18 would be ok.
  20. According to Tim Harrington on SEN tonight, Luke Ball is still in the mix, if he gets to our pick the club will pick him. Lukes intention to go to the Filth or nothing is not an option to him. If we pick him, he will play.
  21. Fair Point, but i still say one should not Retard these boys from playing with all their natural Talents. Maybe that is a better way of saying it. Coach them during the week & on the Weekend just let them loose to weave their magic.
  22. That's his free Passage to the Filth i suspect. We can afford to pay that amount though if we choose to draft him. Luke has taken the Gamble, the only team he has shafted is St.kilda, who now get nothing fr him.
  23. I Agree with what you are Saying RR, But i still believe trying to win an away series in India is more important than being suspended for the following Test in Brisbane. Any Fines could have easily been paid by the Australian Public as there would have been "Civil Outrage" (Qick Whip around in every local Pub!!) Remind me-Who did we play in that first Test in Brisbane...New Zealand i think. Personally i would Prefer to try & beat India over there. If Ponting's hands were tied with that decision then it is an ICC digrace i believe...
  24. Luke Ball has put himself on the open market, that's it. He will play football for whoever pays him, we are in the Mix just like 4-5 other clubs. If he is the Best available player still available at Pick 18 the MFC should take him, if he has been snapped up by another team we pick someone else. The Only serious thing that happened today is a past Captain has walked away from his club for nothing. Must have been serious trouble down at Linton St. but hey what else is new???? But remember if we pay the asking price of 500k and Pick him at 18. Luke Ball will give 100% for us. He's a professional footballer. I will be interested to see if the MFC make a statement to us the members on this Topic.
