i don't disagree with that at all, what i meant i suppose was that if someone pulls a curve ball (pltyer not expected) in that first bunch of picks everyone will have to shuffle their choices. Port were smart lining up 8-9 though-Gives them real clout on the night. having lost Burgoyne.

It all depends on who is picked at 3 through 10. Don't forget there is a timed break after the Top 10 to our next 11. So a lot of number crunching & coffee will be consumed on the 26th.

Sure we need a social club. And thats what i think we supporters should be telling the club, but right now our home is the MCG so i don't mind the idea $90 pays the room and staff, & no doubt security. There is also outside seating which would be great if the weather is warm still.

We have just had 3 years of Crap, with 2 new teams on the way in. With that in mind i believe we have to start winning games. That is not to say we do not draft kids at all, but we should be looking at a blend of young & older players to mentor on the run. We have to cement ourselves as a Victorian "Big" club in order to survive long term. Vlad is already talking 19 & 20 teams in the not to distant future. We cannot be carried forever. So yes i think we need a mix. The club should aim to win 10 Games next year, we may do it we may not but we have to start aiming high every year-starting now.

That's a good little Bar in there, i may do that if there is not a closer slightly cheaper alternative!! I think we should have a get together though.

"Do you think all the players on our list are 100% totally passionate to be playing for the MFC list" or if they had a choice would they prefer somewhere else? After the Draft is finished, because in the eyes of the Footy Dept he is still in the mix, & with a so called thin Draft, depth wise, so he should. Have another look at the First Half of this years GF. Luke played well, better than any of our side would last september. He could teach us a few things during a game.....

Jack "Charlie" Watts is not a champion yet (not even close) I hope he becomes one, you bet. But right now he is a great school boy footballer, who has played some good VFL games & has had a taste of the Big Stage. He is just finished school so his output for the Demons should increase now, but so far i don't think he has shown much at all, and people who talk of brilliance just better sit down for a bit. Next season i expect to see a few glimpses & even a few suprises, but he aint a champion yet.

I agree, Some Journo has made that up. When did Luke or Connors actually look down the Barrell of a camera or speak into a telephone those words?? If i am wrong fair enough, but these two have not said anything as far as i have picked up. SEN would have played it constantly!!! It's a ridiculous concept anyway. Its Interesting that so many of you Guys are worried about Luke ball in 3-4 years. Personally i am more interested in what Luke Ball can teach our Midfield in the next 2 years. Nobody can Predict anything after that. Football is a Body Contact sport, every player is vulnerable. If we get 2 years out of Luke Ball & Scully. Trengove & Jonesy Flourish. With hopefully september action i will be stoked!! This talk of 5 years plus is fanciful. As Tim Harrington said yesterday for even an 18 year old they ask at every pick read out "Will this kid play 100 games?" Any thing over that is in the Bonus column.

Fair enough, But if i was Captain i couldn't sleep straight if i implemented that rule!! It really goes against my Grain Ricky should have over ruled it. I almost lost a $1,200 Radio through RAGE!!!
