WTF??

Maybe that would be a good thing as you would think he now knows what he did wrong last time and will only take him half as long to get it right. (or maybe not)

great post made my day that did..

A day in the life of a frustrated Melbourne supporter
felixdacat replied to EVIL DEE's topic in Melbourne Demons
LOL I can so relate to that video @ home I am doing all that but on the inside so as not to disturb my young kids and to maintain my TV privileges. -
We won't get him he will re-sign I reckon, I don't think he will want to come to MFC.

IMO Out: Jurrah In: Bate

Great concept Bing181 Let me begin by saying that every club has a recruiting nightmare in their history for example when I lived in the west, Eagles fans would love to remind the Dockers Fans over the Andrew Mcleod for Chris Groom trade 1995. I reckon BP got it right for his first draft in 2008, ask me about 2009 at the end of season next year.

+1 That's exactly where we stand now as we did when this saga began and unfortunately some posters are about as patient as my 2 year old when their are lollies on offer. Roll on end of season and Thursday 13th October 2011 because by the end of that day we will know if the above has changed.
-
I wonder what he thinks now after having a nights sleep and having the opportunity come down from the emotional high of winning his first game as a coach in AFL.
-
+1 Especially like to see our team playing like a team ie. accountable to and for each other +1 But we may need at least another couple of pre-seasons to bulk up where it's really needed.

Interesting quote by Eddie "That's 100 per cent correct – not signed yet, but close enough," McGuire said. in the Herald Sun Here I know it's probably is all done and dusted but until he signs there is Hope for GWS...isn't there...lol Oh well one can Dream!

I don't beleive he has made up his mind either way, the hard facts/evidence to back up this beleif is that he said he would look at it at the end of season. Now I understands everyone anxiety, frustration and anger over this issue and how it can cause a lot of heated debate, but really people come on. The amount of people who must be mind readers with the ability to assume special knowledge of the intentions or thoughts of others and the fortune tellers who have the ability to exaggerate how things will turn out before they happen OMG. TS has injured himself is it an injury or is it an "injury", he is not playing this week the club must know that he is leaving and have decided to not play him. Oh he is gone because the media says its true, or thats what happened with Ablett and it all happening again wah wah wah. Scully has said repeatedly throughout the season his stance on when he would sit down and consider anything about contracts etc. Rather then take that at its face value people try conjure up some conspiracy that it has all been decided and he is just waiting till season end. It also staggers me at the need for people on this post who need to minimise their own personal feelings of betrayal if heaven forbid he sign with GWS by writing him off and acting like its a good thing he is going and he wasn't much chop anyway. All this jumping to conclusions is unhealthy people and teh mind reading and fortune telling is a slippery slope. Other posters will continue to wait and see and you know what thats the only hard truth about this issue we all need to wait until TS make his decision.

I for one think Bailey deserves an extension, as he will continue to develop our younger players. I would give him 2 year easy because at that point the potential stars we have will have matured and developed and you will see the fruits of the recuriting we have done over the last few seasons. What I find interesting is that most of the commentators, experts and even opposition coaches talk about how we are inconsistent and how we either [censored] teams or we get flogged. Also opposing players and coaches talk about their curiosity about which Melbourne they will see on the park on the day. When our future champions (and they are that you wait and see) starting getting used to consistently playing at the level that is needed. The curiosity will become a certainty that they are in for a 4 quarters of pain that will end in tears. lol Go Bailey! Go the Mighty Dees!

Could not agree more Jay Clarkes article could be straight out of a trashy gossip magazine When asked recently by a confidant to assess the likelihood of him heading north, Scully, 20, said he was 70-30. Apparently Scully has someone who he confides in to keep secrets and talks things through with and they tell those secrets to the Media. A confident by definition is some one who keeps your secrets not blabs to the media. An insider reveals/A close friend/sources close to when I read those terms I am 70 - 30 on thinking "what a load of rubbish". And these gems The Herald Sun can reveal: THE Scully camp is at odds with the Demons over the clauses in the club's latest contract offer. Well when you negotiate a contract of course you are going to be at odds with some clauses, but gee that's why it a negotiation. Scully's father, Phil, has links with Sydney, having worked in talent identification for the Swans in recent years. So Phil worked for Sydney Swans and GWS they are both based in Sydney O....M...G yes it is all so clear now Player managers and rival club chiefs are convinced Scully is gone. Good for them I promised myself I would only read this post and not contribute so thank you Jay Clark whoever you are.

We will/can/should may beat them all and that's final. But seriously I hope we come closer then we have been recently against Hawks and Cats. Carlton will be a great game to watch especially after the bruise free footy comment. I reckon we could win as long as we don't get to angry and raging red mad, you want to the anger to burn slowly and like a blue heat. Wet Toast I can't wait to see this rematch also especially after last time we met. Don't know how we go but will keep believing we can beat any team on any given day.

Great work from the Journo's at channel 10, What a crack up. Seems someone should have spoken to Aussie. LOL

I can't understand all the comments about being a mug if you don't accept the $7m over 6 years. I personally don't believe that the $ is what motivates every single human being. Who is to say that T S is one of those people? Oh and Damian Barrett is [censored] and it pretty [censored] poor for GWS to make a offer on national TV after both the Player and his Manager have said they will not discuss anything till after the season. So far Sculls has been adamant that he wants to concentrate on playing football and GWS trying to force the issue by making an offer public could just anger the player as it is a very big distraction. I hope it all blows up in their faces. Oh and Barrett's a [censored]...dejavu or what

Is it safe to post a reply.... I love the fact that we may have a selection dilemma coming soon and I can't wait to see Blease play (1 more sleep Wahoo!)

I was looking online for a video of the Scully press conference and come across this one from earlier in the year. I never saw the story on TV but it was great to watch. I hope you enjoy! My link

After reading this post I decided to re-watch the video (here) and in particular what is said between 02.36 - 03.01 of the interview. So it seems to me that he would like to stay with Melbourne and he will wait and hope that his management and the club can come to some agreement when they discuss it at the end of the season. But until then he just wants to keep playing AFL.

Interesting analysis...although you might need to factor in that the opposition teams we played last year will have improved and changed from the teams we face this year. Comparison of our team and their obvious developmental improvements against opposing team that are stagnant would probably look as you have stated in your post above. When you factor in the the variables such as the level of improvement of each team, consider changes to the line ups via trades, retirements and injuries, change in coaching staff and the different levels of fitness and rehabilitation services available at each club. (Just to name a few) , then it would be interesting to see how that effects your analysis.
-
Agree with all the above LOL Oh and why pay 2 people to do one job? Oh thats right we are a rich club we can afford to payout our coach for the year and contract someone else as caretaker and then not to mention any breach of contract penalties we may have pay out. He is contracted till the end of the season decide then. My day in this forum would not be complete with out finding a Chicken Little post. now I can sleep lol

We got belted by last years premiers who have flogged most teams they have played this year by an average of 50 points. We played them with a team that has 992 less games experience in its players. We still need to get players games experience so if the there are 2 injured why not replace them with 1 in from player Petterd and play him in the midfield and Jamar if he is fit to play 70-75% of the game to get back match fitness. Gawn can ruck with Jamar and I would put Steff either forward as a tall marking option or in defence where he was playing prior to Jamar going down. I would have Blease in incase Jamar is not fit, and that is only because I want to see him play. lol So I hope that explains my thinking for you. But hey its only my opinion others may not agree.
