How we were dudded by Mission Foods @ The Dogs
H_T replied to Sydney Pennski's topic in Melbourne Demons
We're in a dog eat dog world out there, get over it. Let's move onto the next sponsor. -
Agree. The whole 1st Round of the NAB Cup IMHO.
-
They are looking to increase their exposure. Much the same as LG previously.
-
I hope you get the ok.
-
Bring on Round 1. If only it were feasible AzzKikA. Looking forward to the announcement of a sponsor.
-
Because the quicker he settles in, the quicker he adapts to the pace and recognises what is required.

Why not? Neitz handled himself well in his first season. Alot of 1st year players who have been picked high in the draft, have performed despite it being the "big league". The earlier the footy club exposes Watts to it, the better.

Major Sponsor - How as supporters/ members can we add value?
H_T replied to a topic in Melbourne Demons
You might have something here. It may start to appeal to companies in good positions despite the beginning of the economic crisis, for exposure that only one AFL club is left looking for a sponsor in a sport that excels all others within Australia. There is a good opportunity....much like LG did back in 97-98. They will get good exposure ....initially. But gee, the fixture doesn't help for the rest of the year. Improved performances will be the selling point to the sponsor for ongoing seasons... . RR, the only way is up from here....surely a sponsor will see that. -
Just goes to show how much the team needs to win back respect from the football world. Dwayne Russell included.
-
Yes fair and square in the family jewels. Low act. Looks as though Cloke does something just prior to Setanta getting up. Did Cloke bite? It will be all over the news....
-
Liverpool probably could of done with Keane.

I think Nadal has Federer covered - physchologically speaking...

Totally agree. I don't know if it was Paul Mac Namee who contacted Mark Stevens for this concoction or whether Mark Stevens called PM with the knowledge that PM would say something at an appropriate time. ie on the eve of the AGM. But what I do know that the article by Mark Stevens yesterday which ever way you look at it from either point-in-case was an attack on the club with the vision to perhaps upset members of the Mfc and create a heated AGM. Whether or not that has stemmed from PM himself or Mark Stevens, its pathetic to say the very least.

The Semi Final was something else. How was that tie break won by Vadasco. That is the purest and most awesome tie break you will ever see. To do it against Nadal is just amazing. Then Nadal went onto win the final set! After the 4th set tie break by Vadasco, it was that imposing I thought Vadasco would have walked all over Nadal. Just goes to show how physical and more importantly - mentally - strong, Nadal is.

Anyhow, it would help Spurs try and avoid relegation.

Of course. One of the bargains of that particular National draft. Popped into training yesterday at the Junction (10-15min). Bruce was an absentee for outdoor drills. Most likely confined to indoors, perhaps the gym. Players were divided. West was instructing youthful midfield candidates for centre clearances including the likes of Jones, Morton, Spencer and a few others. Whilst the other group were having their kicking action filmed including the likes of Bell, McDonald, Meesen, P.Johnson, Valenti. Valenti looks pretty keen to impress this year. I suppose he'd want to impress to compete for a spot on the list come the end of the season.

And Liverpool got no-one in return, when they are just a game or so from top of the leaderboard after a 2-0 win over Chelsea...? Mind boggling in respect to their title chances...

Allan Border Medal results: - One Day Cricket winner: N.Bracken Test Cricketer: M.Clarke AB Medal: A tie, RickyPonting / Michael Clarke. Think I saw when the results went up: Ponting and Clarke on 41 votes , M.Hussey on 38. Hussey only racked up 3 votes in the Test category, whereas Ponting & Clarke racked up something like 19 and 20 respectively. Clearly Hussey let himself down with his poor form over Summer in the Test Series, as it cost him the AB Medal in my opinion.

Not sure 45hotgod. Perhaps it has something to do with Bruce's poor disposal at times and the racking up of possessions in junk time. Who knows? One thing is for sure, his pick in the ND was seen initially as a bargain, probably still is for some to be totally honest. Whilst others see his real value.

Man U 5 West Brom 0 Ronaldo - 2 goals.

I think he already is a star. A freak in the field too. Commentators on 774, NINE spoke in just as much awe as when Lara and Tendulkar were first on these shores and were strutting their stuff in the middle. It's no secret that the test wins of Sth Africa were no thanks to Duminy's patience, skill and occupying the crease in the middle at critical stages of the test matches. In addition the 20/20 matches for some consolation - regardless of the outcome of those matches which could have resulted in absolute disasters for the Sth Africans and the fans who paid their hard earned money to see some entertainment. They were not disappointed. I said after the fishing episode that Symonds was on the brink and well and truly out of form. That he should not have been picked so early as murmurs came out of the Bulls camp with respect to his attitude and off-field shenanigans. I agree Titan. I think its time for CA to cut ties with Symonds, especially the Test team.

Not a bad effort Y_M.....looks alot like my side after the preseason draft - did you plaguerise.... Moloney may be tough but has he the 'nous' and consistency on the park that others have over him....?

Yes, I was privvy to replying to the poster who recommended it on another thread, telling him it was a great idea and that he should email it through. I've shot an email off to the club anyway.
